Just after seeing this episode and then did a search on this man and found out sadly he passed away in 2018, lord rest his soul and I hope his family are doing okay, they would be 25, 23 and 20 years old now
I did a search on him and could not find anything to that he is dead I only found things that he is alive

the only thing missing from this show was a follow up with the families a few years later to see how they are doing.
I really hope he made it home.
