Seems to me that calling an indictment just an “accusation” is an understatement. Surely the fact that a Grand Jury, a bevy of different brains, have heard testimony in support of each of these assertions of wrongdoing, and found that there was sufficient evidence to bring these indictments adds to the validity and gravity of these accusations. They are not someone’s whims or suspicions. They are backed by evidence.

I've been on two Federal Juries. The people seated on those juries are not the median intelligence sort of jurors. The filtering process is very intense. The juror's ability to understand what is presented will not be a problem.

Seems to me that calling an indictment just an “accusation” is an understatement. Surely the fact that a Grand Jury, a bevy of different brains, have heard testimony in support of each of these assertions of wrongdoing, and found that there was sufficient evidence to bring these indictments adds to the validity and gravity of these accusations. They are not someone’s whims or suspicions. They are backed by evidence.

After I read the indictment and saw all the audio, video, text message evidence they have listed to back up the charges, it was instantly clear why his lawyers quit once they saw it. If he doesn't take a plea deal, he'd be insane. Like going into a murder trial and they have your audio confession, written confession, dna, and doing it on video and walking into trial.
