apparently the executives at Disney thought that 80 episodes was enough (even though it has 79 episodes total) Funny enough Disney XD and Craigs bosses supported a season 3
Your friendly neighborhood Star Nomad theres a theory that says that money was given to disney to get WoY cancelled,the money,so the theorist,comes from the creator of star to make room for their show and prevent potentially growing competitors. Evidence,so the theorist,would be that on may i believe,it was decided that WoY is cancelled,exactly one day before star got announced to get a 3rd season even though season 2 hasnt even aired by that time.
He said if craigs statements are true and the show was so purely gold and didnt have any issues whatsoever,disney wouldnt have cancelled it. instead they'd give each show 1 season and watch for which one succeeds.
just like they did some years ago with shows like KP except that WoY didnt got to release dvds.

you forgot to include my favorite one- in the episode 'the date', originally wander was going to disguise himself as a girl and go on a date with hater, but it was changed to sylvia because there would have been no tension (as they would have just had a great time together)
The Wanderers is my favourite because not only do we get to see into Wander's personality a bit more but also realize that Sylvia really truly care for Wander.
+Nicole M Sylvia is like a sister to him. She always goes to his rescue when she thinks he's in danger, and she tells him to stay put in some episodes.

Sad that Nickelodeon is still trying to make new Spongebob episodes but Disney Channel canceled one of their best shows in years after only two freaking seasons.

It was post-The Battle Royal but pre-My Fair Hatey
And the main episode was an homage to Filmation cartoons, mainly He Man/She Ra and BraveStarr

There's a little more to fact 33 @ 6:30 in! The Wanders wasn't sent in by just any fan, but pitched by the series supervising director Dave Thomas' son. The crew really took to it and the script was written around the idea, if i recall correctly! It's something that always struck me as really sweet. Especially since that episode is one of my favorites. Anyways, awesome video, there was a lot of trivia I actually didn't know at all! So sad this wonderful show got cut short. It was a definite favorite of mine.

Jasiri Lindsay OI!! There is a movement to get DISNEY to bring Wander Over Yonder back for a third season!! There is a petition on change.com, search "Get Disney to bring back Wander Over Yonder for a third season" and you should find it. There are also several Tumblr pages committed to the movement #SaveWOY
I agree with you sister Lilly bug we need to spread the word and try to get as many people as possible to bring back the show to have one more season

I really liked this show, I was skeptical at first but the characters were really endearing and the art designs for the environments was fantastic
The overly positive and infernally pacifist Wabder can easily be a turn off for most, but how he was different from every other protagonist is what made me stay from episode one.

@ninjaboi44 they are two very different shows to compare and they have equally strong yet different strengths. It feels wrong to compare them to each other.
In my opinion WoY nails everything in every which way and defeats even long running shows like SU. The way they handled mystery and lore was so satisfying as well and somehow felt more fresh than GF, despite the creative limitations Disney gave the show (no heavy lore, etc). For the most part what makes these shows so great is the execution.

Actually, Frank Angones didn't entirely debunk the Monkeyboy theory. He just said the character's name was Monkeyboy, and he even added in a later post that just like Wander, characters in the show can go by many different names.
Plus that scene at the end of Season 2 pretty much solidifies the theory.
I think that Wander said (or shows) that he's a vegetarian. Also, it's hard to choose just one episode! I like a lot of them!!

It's kinda interesting that Sonic SatAM and Wander Over Yonder share the same fate, 2 seasons, finale where villain gets destroyed, cliffhanger where new evil rises up, then canceled.

It really is a good show. And it introduces topics to children and teens that adults think are too young for. Love and loss and fitting in. Discovering yourself. Being different and trying to be yourself. they are heavy topics that even adults have trouble with. But guess what. tweens and teens are going thru it. so let them have a positive outlet.

I love that they say that Lord Hater is the actual protagonist, because it is sooooo evident. Sometimes it seemed the show focused more on him than on Wander.

There were a few episodes focusing on him more than on Wander and Sylvia, such as "The Gift II: The Giftening", "The Good Bad Guy", "The Cool Guy", "The Search For Captain Tim", "The Bad Neighbors", "The It", "The Funk," "The Rivals", "The Rager" and "The Brainstorm".

There's no reason to believe that "Monkeyboy" isn't an old name for Hater. It's also been confirmed that Hater wasn't always a skeleton, so he very well could be this "Monkeyboy" character. Craig even states in the screenshot you used, "Remember, characters go by many names in this series."
