- Giant Bear: Beat "Rising Tide" on impossible difficulty after eliminating the Giant Bear Wolf Spider to the south of the nest.
Tips: Quality is better than quantity here. #level3rapidfire. Watch out for the venom pool that the spider drops. It will destroy your ants. I recommend bringing a group of workers to bait the venom pool and then let your rapid fires get to work while your tanks buy the rapid fires some time to DPS.
Killing the spider isn't the hard part though. Surviving night 3 is the ultimate challenge after taking significant food losses to the giant spider. You will have the major crab wave of night 3 followed ridiculously close by the mother spiders with their bazillion spiderlings. Sneak as many crab kills in that you can during the night encounters for extra food and clear as many food plots as you can killing off any tiger beetles in the way. On days one and two it is critical that you gather enough food to build your army and have enough food to survive not only the giant bear but the evening encounters as well. Good luck, this took countless attempts for me to finally get a win for the achievement.

Good video also during the wolf spider raid, why did you put your ants in the brood room instead of in front of (or Atleast near) the queen?
So one tactic to use against spiders to avoid having your ants overrun is to stack your army groups in a single chamber. That way they can band together to fight the spiders instead of being spread out. The better strategy to use against spiders is to place random food tiles far from your queen, this baits the spiders as can be seen in this video czcams.com/video/Tq1rZpiEuvo/video.html
