When I did a lot of enamel pins my work was stolen a lot (my Cat Lady pin still pops up all the time) and I honestly just gave up. Filing reports took so much time and another listing would just pop back up in a few days. It was like a never ending game of wack-a-mole. But I figured the people buying from Wish/Temu/Shein arent the same people that are buying from small businesses. They typically don't understand the value in small businesses work or care about the bad quality, they just want things for cheap.
It actually upsets me more when I see other small businesses buying from these websites and reselling them. I've had to fight with another small biz owner who refused to take down the counterfeit pins they were selling because "they paid for them".
People just suck. 😂
Also how gross is it seeing your work printed so poorly!! Seeing my work made into cheap soft enamel pins made me more annoyed than it actually being stolen. 😂 How dare you ruin my art!
It's so upsetting isn't it that people don't understand or care how damaging sites like these are for small businesses. Like you say, they just see the tiny price tag and it's sold to them without question...That's why I really wanted to make this video to spread awareness, even if it makes one person watching this video to stop purchasing from these sites then I'll take that as a win! 💕Since posting this video, someone has enlightened me that these cards have been listed again on Temu, so I've filled out the form again but like you say, it's just not sustainable for me to keep checking and reporting these items. It just really sucks!

one thing to say...temu should be shut down it's a terrible company that steal constantly which is actually fraud! and as someone mentioned here it's a good idea to add watermarks on your art work that you post across social media
They need to be stopped! I will look into it but I don't think a watermark would stop any with the advance of technology these days and the fact that the fur-tea card has literally been traced over and re-drawn :(

Isn’t it just so frustrating! 😢 I’ve just found the cards have been listed again on Temu so I will record the process of how I fill out the form & get them taken down and I will put this in the next studio vlog I upload next week :)

Temu is the new AliExpress after all, they were obviously going to steal designs :/. I hate these companies. So sorry you had your designs stolen.

Gosh that’s horrible how people not create businesses that are so dirty like that but then steal from small businesses. It really discourages me from wanting to do this via social media until. We definitely need solutions for protection

It's ridiculous! I have seen so many artists have their stuff stolen by companies like this! Worse thing at the moment too is all the people at comic cons/markets I see selling stolen pins and cards. I have reported so many for people as it angers me! It defo feels like its getting harder to protect your artwork nowadays. Sorry your having to deal with it again too as just seen your reply to another comment saying a listing for them is back up 😭
Ugh i hate this world that we live in that a lot of people think that these types of behaviors are ok. I sell a lot of digital designs and I can't tell you how much time and money I have lost because people have stole my work. And mostly etsy letting them get away with it! It got to the point I gave up on it. I stopped looking bc its just never ending and you could spend a daily work shift trying to track down everyone that has cheated and copied and resold my designs... its so sad. i am sorry this happened to you and i am glad they took it down for now. i hope it doesnt go back up but i would not put it past them!

you might have to start putting watermarks on your main pics x
Watermarks don't do anything, especially now with how advanced AI editing tools are. You can super easily remove watermarks.
I don't think this would stop anybody because it looks like the fur-tea card has been traced over :(

This is wild, sorry this happened to you, The fact people can upload anything they want to sites like Temu is awful 😞😞😞
maybe you should organize some other makers to get a class action suit against Shein and Temu. Half of my youtube recommended is artist having their designs stolen.
So sorry this happened to you. The same thing happened to my niece. She designs jig-saw puzzles for a company in New Hampshire (USA) and she saw her puzzle designs on TEMU .....

This is common even with polymer stamp designers and dies they steal. Plus like the dies people get them to make so easy for them to be stolen. Its terrible, its going to be so hard to stop

I’m not sure if you said, but maybe you need to put the watermark when on your pictures on Etsy and website then they can’t copy them so easily

I'm admin in a crochet group on fb and banned any mention of them in our group. They're disgraceful.

This is so sad, especially because I don't think most consumers will care that the Temu version is worse quality than yours. As long as it gets the job done, people will be inclined to choose the cheaper version.

That is absolutely horrible that they stole your design ive only ever bought beads and charms for my crafts but you can get your money back just do a refund and say the quality is not good
I can't see many differences that would stand out which is so sad because customers will most likely choose the cheaper option.

Place the blame where the blame belongs. you must have a patent on each product. It also is an individual vender who sells on Temu. Not Temu themselves. This is also done by other companies in USA and UK not assoc with Temu. This info. Against Temu was proven to be false according to reliable news stations. People are just threatened by Low prices so they are trying to discredit them

Well I don’t see nothing wrong using designs we find online. I’m a small business and I do design a lot of my products but I wouldn’t mind seeing them on Temu 🤷🏽♀️
