hi milly! i started watching you at the start of this year, the first video i watched was your comparison video between the circuit and silhouette cutting machines as i was buying equipment for my small business, i ended up subscribing after that video because i just loved your aesthetic and personality, and your videos are so inspiring for the type of content i want to make in the future!~ this is my first time commenting! thank you for the tips! i’ve applied for my first art market so fingers crossed i get accepted, but even if i don’t it’s okay! i’ll just keep trying, keep working on my art, and there are always other markets! 🌟

The problem with not trying two of the platforms like for instance Etsy and Shopify, Etsy is dead so far this year for many of us and even the heads of Etsy have said so.

One thing I often find missing from this kind of videos is the legal aspect of owning a business. I come from a country where people have a lot of freedom when it comes to selling stuff, so when I started making things after moving to the states I just thought I'd need to somehow track how much I'm earning and pay taxes that way and that's it. Nope XD Turns out you need permits, a DBA (if you are going under a different name), reports to the state every year (which you could be heavily fined for if not done), you need to keep receipts of the things you've bought, amounts you've spent, open bank accounts, and many things I'm not yet aware of. I'd been watching business owners' journeys for years and nothing of this sort was ever mentioned beyond taxes. I'm currently waiting for my DBA to file but it's slowed down my progress by a month and a half which I could have done much sooner had someone mentioned it in any of these kinds of videos. This video is great tho! I always enjoy listening to your voice and seeing your bring smile! Thanks for the tips! ❤

how has it been with Shopify with the add-on apps? i've heard so many bad things about extra fees for the apps that a small business owner needs and has to pay hundreds more a month!

One last thing. Do you need laminate over regular car stickers (not decal) ? I just want to make regular car stickers. I might go with the cricut vinyl but don’t know if I need to laminate it for extra protection. Trying to save money and time. Thanks
