Rubbish
This is a sheet glass carrier
The dents with creases, you’ll have to work with the surface. You can still use suction cups, but you’ll have to “play with the dent” a little..you won’t be able to pull it out directly from the center, so pulling it from the upper edges of the creases & working them out will usually make the dent “less visible” but it may still be there slightly.
Been pulling out a dent for an hour with these on the rear door of my Peugeot 306 Gti6. The small one proved totally useless as it comes off too easily. The large one however was good and I was even able to pull across the curved surface of the panel without it coming off. End result, after one hour of extremely hard work was marginal improvement and both hands blistered.
I bought one, it was on sale for $4.00. Used it and it worked great! Best $4.00 I ever spent!
I can't get the cup to stick at all I bought the 4 in. aluminum body suction cup the rubber seems to be to ridged ,idk, I've tried wetting the cup and nothing ,what am I not doing right ?
@@dannybrazil3986 not sure. But I guess it depends if you have a crease in the dent. That could keep it from pulling out right.
I'm glad your doing the videos I got a dent in the bed side of my truck
most BMW doors / hoods & panels are aluminum. if you pour hot water on it then try to use the suction cup it'll work much better
I just bought the small one and initially not much success dry. I just tried it again with glass cleaner and if you keep working it back and forth it creates a tremendous amount of suction. Enough to rock my full size GMC side to side. Even when I released it, it still had suction.
Do you use hot water first?
@@seifyboy2832 no unless you dent is deeper like mines on my Challenger right side quarter panel. You will need to boil the water to a certain degree and pour it on the area that you see the large dent and use a special the design suction cup tools to pull it out. It's a repetitive process, but it's certainly worth spending above a grand to a repairman
If you were to incorporate some peripheral light tapping with a small, soft hammer simultaneously on the crests while your were pulling I think you'd have measurably greater results. This would enable the puller's mechanical advantage to facilitate easier molecular relaxation of the stressed edges. Fun watch though. Thank you.
they work but you have to prepare the metal first; heat the metal where the ding is with hot water; or hairdryer then put the dent puller on area; then pull - try this way - the dent puller needs help first ie: heating metal to make it flexible etc
If you have a small dent with a slight crease, after cleaning and heating up, I think using a rubber hammer, high frequency tapping on the highest spot of the crease, as you are pulling a small suck cup together might give a better results on the dent..
Put it in a cup of boiling water for 10 mins soften up, then clean and dry surfaces, then you're good, you can use a toilet plunger if you soften it up, I've been using a toilet plunger since the 70s
Did you boiling water and a plunger on a side door? Does the hot water ruin the clear coat?
These work well when you need to ch age out youre wheel center caps saves time and money on a special tool that does the same thing
you need the suction cups used for fitting large windows in buildings sticks like glue and wont pull off till pressure is released
You have to pump the lever a bit before u grab & pull it. It'll grip it a bit better. Just saw it on another video lol
Worked great on the first dent. Thumbs up!
Thanks 👍
Hot water? Hair dyer or heat gun would probably produced better results BEFORE applying the clamps.
i have a huge ass dent on my quarter panel, i don’t know how deep it is, but it was deep enough to take off a chip of paint. do you think this would work on it?
Very informative video. Just bought both of these in hopes to remove a freshly made dent in left quarter panel. Ugh. Thanks for your time. Appreciate you.
Did it do the job..I just found a light dent myself today and bought a suction cup for it. Getting it tomorrow.
I can't get the cup to stick at all I bought the 4 in. aluminum body suction cup the rubber seems to be to ridged ,idk, I've tried wetting the cup and nothing ,what am I not doing right ?
do you think it would help if you heat the dent with a heat gun or the boiling water hack?
they need to make an oval shaped one for the BMW
Awesome I need to do that to my rental is full of dents. Thanks for sharing this video.👍
The surface has to be dry for maximum grip, it slips because it's wet
the one i bought suggests getting the the surface at least damp because it can make a difference in the suction, you just can't have it too wet, which he does do that in one of his examples.
What pound are they, the one I got from O’reillys is a 80lb and worked very well.
I have 3 small dents on the left sides of my car. Does this sucker works for smaller dents?
I like to use cooking oil as lubricant cause you can massage the dents out
Would the orange suction cup work on hail damage on my hood?
Does it come with a magic wand and fairy dust , or is that extra ?
If the metal is deformed enough that a "crown" (high ridge or high spot) is formed, you need to work the crown down before you try to pull the dent... Remember... You're trying to remove the dent in the reverse order when it was created only slower step by step...
@William Riley thank you for your information. How do you work the crown down?
@@eiccoaching8642 Body hammer and/or tapping tool...
Would that work on a stainless steel fridge
Do car mechanics charge you for new body parts when they're really just sucking out dents with a suction cup?
Probably
Ya" Nathan, it dose work. But the the other system which uses glue sticks and a plastic attachment and a puller. That method dose work well for smaller dents. And it's easy to use, but the clean up if a little tricky..BMW OWNER.
u prob need to warm up the metel
Frick man dont give up that easy,
‘Oh would you look at that’ , ‘Just look at it, would ya look at that?’
They work pretty well but a dent pulling set with glue is still better by far. It is time consuming as hell but it works. I wouldn't use suction cups for creased dents though.
I just leave them alone. They give the car character.
Bet you own a Camry
@@Chilidog6669 😂
I would leave the dent if it’s not impacting the doors. I have a dent on the back of my front fender next to the door, and is preventing the door from opening fully. So that will need to be pulled.
Yeah retarded driver
If it was my car alone I would be able to agree more
Can those suction cups work on roof rails?
They work 60% of the time.... every time.
Oscar Gregory that makes no sense, great movie
Hello Nathan. I have a bmw e46 325ci -03
My problem is that it is hard to start when its warm
It usually starts but it takes a few tries.
When its cold it usually starts on the first try but it takes sometime for it to start right up the engine is "coughing" but it does almost always start.
The engine also feels "wobbly" when i accelerate like the engine is hesitating. It certainly doesnt feel like the 191hp its supposed to have
It also has very pour mileage about 1.7 mpg
Do you know what the problem might be appreciate all help!
Why was he wetting the suction cup? Didn't this make hard to stuck it?
I've found that, if accessible, go from the inside of the dented area with a child's small football. Place it against a firm surface (such as a 2x4) to press against and slowly inflate the ball. The dent will easily resume original position. Relocate ball as needed to get other parts of the dent out. Go slow! You don't want to stretch the metal beyond original position. J. P. Stockton Ca.
John L Paval stockton ca me too!!!!!’
Modesto here
Why not hot water?
a dent with any sort of crease seems impossible to pull out with suction.
You have to use hot water to soften the metal.
Why you putting windex?
The O'Reillys one won't even work on most completely flat services, let alone anywhere near a dent
Have you tried using 2 of the small ones next to each other?
Why did you get alot of hate on your first video about this?
Hot water on metal does absolute shit.. works on plastic... pulling dents out of flat surfaces is easy.. what about corner areas?
It was a video of how the product FAILS....?
I have a big round big dent in my side door from kids that slammed there moms truck door into mine at the store and then left so it’s on me now I have a Toyota Corolla it’s back and the dent shows well it’s a deep dent but the size of this machine do I think id get it out with this ?
maybe,, but also try a regular house bathroom plunger-- that might work also
Be a real anarchist and venture out on the sharp edge. Let us know how it worked for you.
Very Bad idea to use Windex on car's paint surfaces ! Amonia acid in Windex will strip out all protective wax and clear coat polish.Use hot water instead !!
They told him not to use windex on paint last time. He said he got lots of hate last time so remade the video.
I was thinking adding some dish soap to water might be the ticket. I'll let you know when I give it a try.
I’m
Like going on 2hrs now and yah still no success at all. It won’t suction at all wet or dry. Lol.
Poor hot water on it first
doesnt work!! anybody have any tips????
Use really hot water
similar results
So you're saying there's a chance?
What's all this one in a million talk?
Brian Phillips lmao
@ 2:08 that what she said 😂
I find the mini suction cup is useless and could suck any dent out cause it won’t stick properly to pull it out. Oh well off to panel beater I go😞thought I’d save a few hundred bucks but it didn’t work for me. Feel like I’ve been scammed.
suction cups don't work electro magnets will work
my wife just dented our 2017 Lexus lx 570 with the car door of our 2021 Camry...uuhhhgg
This is not for e53 ,e46,e39 it's for later models which made of cartoon 😜 which have lighter body our car has strong body need stronger tools 😅
So true bro. Them older BMWs are tanks. I ran a stop sign clean over. These newer cars would of split in half
Why not use two of the smaller ones at the same time
Combustion69 damn hair,, on my screen!!)))
Mine don't work for crap dry no suction at all wet it just slid back and forth
Shit doesn’t even grip smh waste of money
@@Mrmboneee2 I got mine to work it was the type of soap you spray on it my truck is steel I used that stuff call green window cleaner worked great it's a clear color just named green
Get 2 or 4 small ones. Get 2 people.
Remove it dry not wet
u shouldn't use soap water
The blue one doesn’t stick. 😩🙄
Hello
Why use windex?
You use windex to ruin your paint, an to create less suction compared to water. Basically should not have used Windex.
Open automobile cosmetic repair shop, dent size of golf ball 2 repair??? That'd be 899.99 and about 3 days for labor and parts. Takes car keys puts car in back >_> (suck) POP!
I don't see the deference (before/after)!
toilet plunger may help
but,why wet the area to be fixed first??.
Jerry Dominguez just to help the suction cup to stick to the surface.
Why would you spray on windex. That makes it loose suction. This video is hella amateur.
You don't know what you are talking about. Of course anyone I have ever known that uses the term hella wasn't real bright anyway.
Use a heat gun
Works very well 😂 yet doesn’t pull anything out
What? LOL I still see the dent after the first one? What?
Salam 👍👈🇹🇲
A professional service would be the better option
WindyCityDentRepair I was looking for a PDR guy lol. 👍🏼 He only fixed the first dent which I could have plopped with my hands 😂. What a waste
OH REALLY?
The best way I found to fix mine was with my girlfriend head for doing it
Those dent pullers don't work 😫
No comments? Must be thelengend27 serialkiller
Let the PDR pros help out.. shallow small dents will still show up with this tool.. not 100% useful
Your voice sounds like you are either a librarian, or a professional cat owner that still lives with mommy.
Momo Hunkerton so true I glad you pointed this out thank you for watching, I will tell my mom and cats you said hi !!!
dat was a load of bolony
Nao funciona, é mentira
That shit don't work!
