In this video, i'm going to review the Dr. Martens 8053 Platform Boots. This is a good video to watch before you buy doc martens 8053 Platform Boots. I'm sharing everything you need to know about buying (docs) Dr. Martens 8053 Platform boots like where to buy, style, quality, and fit. I've owned the (docs) Dr. Martens 1460 for 10 years and i'm so excited that I now have the Dr. Martens 8053 boots. I'll be comparing the Dr. Martens 8053 Platform Boots to all Doc Martens styles including the 1461 and the Jadon Doc Martens You'll be able to see the differences of the Dr. Marten 8053 Platform boots and what makes them so special. I have the jadons, the hello kitty 1461's, and the bex 1461's. My family thinks i have a mental illness bc they all look the same but they dont, they're all special and different and they're my babies! 😅

I really appreciate your frankness about some of the shortcomings of this shoe. A lot of reviewers just focus on aesthetic while downplaying these shoes can be stiff, heavy, or possibly uncomfortable due to where they may rub on the feet.

Been eyeballing these for awhile and finally bought a pair the other day! They’re my 4th pair of Doc Martens. I’m usually a size 6 but I downsized since I bought some sandals in a smaller size and they fit good. 👌🏿
I m curious do you find the platforms too heavy to walk comfortably?
@@sophie-annew7743 No they’re pretty good walking actually! Though these are my 5th pair of platform doc martens so i’m kinda use to the feeling.
@@EuqinimodArt Oh that’s good to know. I never had platform Dr Martens. But I do have a pair of platform Buffalo sneakers that I never really wear bc the platform is too heavy to wear comfortably. That plus Dr Marten’s ‘unbreakable’ feature, I was rather worried that that would be a killer combination 😂 Now I feel a bit closer to pull the trigger. Also, I am eying the ‘Holly’, with two eyes and satin laces, maybe that would even make things worse for having less support…oh …well..how should I justify 😂

Just bought them recently! I'm a size 7 and it's crazy because I was holding off buying them for a few hours and it was gone, later (another hour or so) I bought it when I got the email update and soon after my size was all sold out. I guess their email updates don't work because I signed up since November of last year, but got nothing until I signed up the same day that I bought them.
Just received them and I love them already! They are a perfect fit but I got feet issues so they slightly slip at the heel but I don’t mind it I basically just need some silicone heel grips and I’ll be fine
I did the same thing! i ordered a silicone thing on amazon for the heels. Works perfect.

Omg this is my shoes😍 and actually was my first pair, i absolutely love it! Although i always need to wear thicker socks😐 since my usual size is 37, i got the 37 but they are slightly bigger but when i tried size 36 they were waaaay too small😭😭😭

Do your feet sweat more when you have to wear thick socks? And do the shoes stink up? I heard that leather can get smelly.

The biggest problem I experienced with them is they don’t follow my foot while walking, even the size suits me perfectly, which is really annoying, cus the socks are also not going to stay where they are and constantly slipping. I end up solving this problem by lacing them really tight and put some silicone protectors on the back of my ankle. What can I say… a pain in the ass but they are truly so cute.

I just got these and I wore them for a day and got CRAZY blisters. Like skin rips kind of blisters. Like can't walk blisters. And I'm so upset because they look SO cool and badass. I hope once I break them in they hurt less...

Great video! I’m so nervous because I ordered my pair in a size 10, but I’m a strict 11. The website recommended going a size down but I’m not sure now…
You should be fine. I sized down and it fits perfectly. I even had to buy a heel insert. You’d rather have them fit tight or else they can slip off your heels.

apparently they restocked today and i happened upon them, but they’re sold out in my size :/ i went onto depop to see what was up with them and people were reselling them for USD$300 and i was like ??????
OMG!!! that is so crazy!! i can't believe they are sold out so fast and people are reselling them on depop!! insane!! If you have a dr. martens store near you, i would suggest just calling them to check. I found mine randomly at a store in NY.

Maryam Saif We’re the same size and size 6 works for me. Size 7 will slip off your feet. But If you have wide feet, size 7 might work.

What material is the padded collar around the 8053's made of
My sister has some size 6, 1461 and they fit pretty big on the heel, it slips out, the rest feels good though. I tried some 1461s in the store in size 5 but they were way too small, made me even walk differently. Will 1853 run a bit bigger than 1461 so that a size 6 will be even bigger?

i usually wear a size 6 but i got a size 5. they fit me but they feel tight and uncomfortable right now. i did just get them today though. once i wear them more and break them in will they feet better? the 6 would be to big but my 5 feels tight. also mine were hard to get on and it took me a long time to get them on. is this normal and will they feel better over time?
Yes once you break them in they would not hurt anymore

Yeah I had the same problem it was really hard for me to put the one on my left hand side on bc it hurt the top of my foot like in the middle

I would say, get a 7. Because these tend to slip off my heels if they are even just a little too big.

Hey, did yours have a little tiny gap in them? One of my shoes have that and while I can’t feel it with my feet I can feel with with my hand if I put them inside the shoe. Will the gap get bigger? Should I return and get another or just leave it?

They are super stiff and tight. Unfortunately, from my experience, they don’t soften up that much. They still hurt 😞

The padding helps a little but they still hurt 😢. I would say the 1461 is more wearable because they don’t have the platform. The thick platform makes them pretty stiff.

Yea they are. If you go on their website they have certain shoes that are labeled made in England but most all of them are made in China now

get a sz 7, jus gt mine today i wear a men's 8 n i grabbed a sz 7 n it fits well (assuming u have a narrow feet not wide)

I actually went with a size smaller because true to size was slipping off my heal. I would suggest size down.

Hi there, I just bought these in 6 and tried it on with athletics socks and just regular ones and My heel slips easily out not like when I walk but If I try to remove the shoes I can just slip out.. Front of the shoe feel little snug As my feet are on the little wider side. I wanted to ask will it get comfortable as I wear it more. I feel like If get size 7 it will be too big??
Yes, i think it softens up as you wear it more. I wouldn't get a size 7 because your heel will slip out of them.

Hey 😁 I got these, size 11, and I was just wondering: they really hurt on the top of my ankle. Are the laces too tight or is this something that will stop hurting when you break in them? Wore them for around 1 week and it still hurts just on that area 😅

8053 looks better but its very heavy. 1461 is more comfortable.

Mine starts to crease too. It’s inevitable. I don’t mind the creasing because it actually makes it more comfortable and softer. I also like them looking a little more worn in. 🙃

I wear Uniqlo socks! They have nice neutral colors and it’s thick enough for doc martens

I just got the 8053 quad platforms and i think they fit, my feet get in easily and they dont slip out. The only thing is that they hurt my pinky toe... Do i size up?

I have a question about comfort in this boots - there are peanuts or other small rubbish on the pavement, you would walk over them and you wouldn't even feel it? Or you feel anythings under boots?
You wouldn’t be able to feel it. It’s pretty thick and chunky.

size down! im US size 7, but there was a lot of room in the heel, so i got the 6 (which is snug but still needs to be broken into)
