Great stuff! U can also blend the chopped plantain & cassava raw, then cook it like banku style on fire whilst it thickens. Moulding the fufu smoothly can also be done by tipping the hot fufu onto a water sprinkled clingfilm & moulding it to your desired shape- round or oblong!

@@ernestinaagyei4361 Hi! I never cooked fufu, I watched different recipes and I think yours is the best cause it's more simple to make it with already cooked ingredients instead of cooking them in the pot and try to get rid of lumps. Is the result the same? Maybe instead of putting them in the blender I can smash with that potato utensil into a bowl, so I don't have to put it out the blender difficultly. What do you think about it?

Looks so nice and appetising in the early 90s our mothers pounded cassava in that shape served with either mud fish or catfish got directly from rivernile, but today it is difficult to find a family still preparing cassava in that style because of the western style of preparing food especially the fast foods, thanks and lots of love from the banana republic of UGANDA 🌶️ 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬

This is the authentic version Fufuo/fufu from Ghana 🇬🇭 are eaten with only liquid soups. The rest ate Nigerian Pounded yam (Iyan) or Akpu (fermented cassava dough which Nigerians call Fufu as a slang but called Banku when fermented corn dough is added) with think Egusi soup and not Fufu.
Not every doughy African food is called Fufu.
*Fufuo/fufu is soft doughy originally from Ghana 🇬🇭 and made from boiled and pounded cassava mixed with plantains or coco yams) and eaten with only liquid soups like light soup or peanut butter soup with okro, eggplant or mushrooms on the side. The Akatoa/ Egusi stew (Palava sauce in Ghana) is eaten with Ampesie (boiled cubes of yams, plantains, cassava, coco yams in Ghana). Nigerian and most other Africans thick soup textures are considered stews in Ghana.
