Andrea Bocelli is a tenor.
Scott is always the one who takes the lead when singing in another language. He obviously has an "ear" for languages, so singing a song in another language for him is not hard. I also have that knack. I know songs in Japanese, Hawaiian, Spanish, Italian, French. Do I know exactly what I'm singing? No. I sing them phonetically, but I have been told by native speakers that I do amazingly well. Is it perfect? Is Scott's accent perfect? No. But when Andrea Bocelli sings in English, is it perfect? No. Does K-Pop artist sing in English perfectly? No. But they're pretty darn close. And just that little bit of an accent is what charms us. I love Scott 'cause he loves to sing in different languages. I'm sure that makes native speakers so very happy.
So hoping PTX wins another Grammy for "Evergreen" (& this song).
Mitch’s singing also makes me smile. Scott slayed it. It’s as if they were made to sing this song. And the song is so timely; we need this prayer

Your reaction to Hallelujah was what got me to subscribe to your channel. The way Hallelujah hit you, was a genuine reaction to Mitch's solo. I sort of feel that The Prayer had the same impact on you emotionally. Thank you for your honest reactions to PTX.
Italian friends have said it was spot on. That was entirely a set in a warehouse. Props to the set guys. There is a behind the scenes video that you might like.
I thought Kevin was also very impressive switching between drums and vocals.

Hello Patrol Gaming! Thank you for doing this reaction. "Yeah....let's just watch it again".....No objection from me there. That was me everyday after this music video came out.....let's just watch it again. Then I went to the beautiful version the did on iHeart Radio so I could see them do it live and watch Mitch's hands when he sings (that's my favourite thing to do) and now I watch one of the fan videos posted from the tour last week because Mitch adds more runs, vibratos and flourishes! This is a beautiful video. Beautiful rendition of this song - The Prayer. Giving a message of hope for us all. Pentatonix never disappoints. All five of them are masters of their craft - individually and collectively. For this song there was skillful and perfect placing of each member in the arrangement. Mitch at the start and throughout owned this song with conviction, vocal clarity, the notes he hits and holds, his runs, his vibratos, his timing and his precision. At times he is strong, ethereal, childlike and always so sincere. Scott with his operatic presentation strong and convincing in linguistic detail. Kirstin with her belting power notes and that vibrato. Matt on the consistent bass undertone. Kevin on the strong and well-timed percussion was superb. The rich vocals, the tones, the call and response, the layering, the harmonizing, the wall of sound, building to the crescendo and then the clarity piercing through again. Superb performance. A capella at its very best. They deserve a Grammy for this. I would love to see you react to I Saw Three Ships, Evergreen, and the other songs they performed on the iHeart Radio Special or BYU TV Special.

I think this was probably the best they have ever done. Mitch was perfect as was Scott's Italian baritone and I don't have to say anything about Kirstin but what was extra impressive to me were the percussion and bass that Kevin and Matt did there near the end. Fantastic. Another great upgrade!

The set is in a studio. There is a "behind the scenes" for this video. They tried frozen snow, but it was a mess, so they did the snow post-production. Thank you, as always, for your PTX reaction. I always look forward to you PTX reactions. I love you "intense" looks as you listen.
I actually "detox" from ptx from time to time. I don't want to get used to their magnificence.

Re Scott's Italian - I read that he worked with a coach for 6 weeks in order to get this right. I did see a reaction by another CZcamsr who speaks Italian and said he did a great job.

It's really an amazing concert. Hua prepares lots of different food stalls between day and night concert sessions. More than 100000 people flew to his concert from everywhere.
