Andre Bocelli! I think his classic version was with Celine Dion if I'm not mistaken. Once again PTX has sprinkled this version with their magic employing not only spectacular vocals from the whole group, but also set and lighting that made it even more emotional. Grammy number 4????

You are correct Bocelli and Celine Dion. And I am still trying to figure out how Bohemian Rhapsody didn't get any love from Grammy. That was one of the most extraordinary performances of any artist ever at any time in all of history, and it didn't even garner a nomination? Come on, Grammy.

Breathtaking masterpiece! The soloists we’re spectacular, of course, but for me, Matt’s bass and Kevin’s beats are the wheels that make this go. Mitch isn’t human, Scott has no peer and Kirsty’s voice is a samurai sword effortlessly slicing through binding it all together.
PTX is the paragon others only aspire to be.

Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli recorded this in 1998 for the film "Quest for Camelot". A beautiful song, and a beautiful rendition by PTX. Love from Potchefstroom (NW)
Josh Groban also got his start covering this song as Celine picked him as a stand-in for Andrea when he couldn’t make it.
@@goaliedon Actually she didn’t pick him, he was brought to her to stand in for a rehearsal and she said she felt bad for “this 17 year old kid” that was tapped to do it. Then he was amazing. She told the story before a performance with him.

I didn't think they could out do themselves again when they did Amazing Grace, but they sure as hell did with The Prayer. Pentatonix is in a league of their own, Home Free and Voice Play are not even close, they're good but no where near Pentatonix good. Glad you were able to react to them again. Hopefully you can do there Christmas stuff this year.

I am a PTX reaction addict. I believe this addiction started as a gift giver. I love seeing a joyful response and see how much they like their gift.
Pentatonix is a gift that has lifted me up through dark times during this pandemic. I feel God's grace and love so profoundly when I breath in their music. So their gift is multiplied every time I am blessed to watch another PTX reaction. I get gooseys every single time. I get to witness your joy and your most entertaining frustration of not being able to recall Andrea bocelli's name. We were all here yelling his name out and giggling 🤣 in good humor.
You are one of my favorites reactors. I only as you to watch it again, because your eyes closed during a lot of their magical build up moments near the end, particularly the lighting that brought the video to a most magical level.

I was thinking the same thing…he missed the beautiful part where the “sun” shines through. It gives me chills when that happens. I was yelling at the screen for him to look up! ☺️
Hard to find anything to criticize about a masterpiece like this, but if I could change just one thing, it would be more whole group shots and less closeups on the soloists. I feel like Matt and Kevin contributed so much to this but we hardly saw them. Once they all moved in together, I would have loved more tighter shots on the whole group so we could see Kevin and Matt doing what they do so well. I've watched quite a few reactions to this and a couple things have struck me about the reactions--I think it's funny the way so many reactors main comment is about Scott singing in Italian when the group has sung in other languages several times before and to me the lovely tone of Scott's voice is more impressive than the language he's singing in (not to say it's not impressive that his Italian is so good; just that I think his vocals are even more impressive). Also, Mitch's singing and control on this is next level, but I think we've been so spoiled by expecting stunning vocals from him that people are like, "Oh, there's Mitch doing his thing again" instead of recognizing just how incredible his solo parts are. And lastly, comparing old videos of Kirstie to current ones is enough to make your jaw drop. She was always a beautiful singer but her tone, range, power, control, confidence, and skill have all exploded over the years. Her duet with Mitch is my favorite part of the video. So proud of all of them.

You nailed my thoughts exactly. My favourite videos are the ones where they are all on camera the entire time, so we can follow everyone's contribution. And Mitch has outdone even his spectacular record with this one. I was struck by all his beautiful riffs. It's as if Scott backed off to let him shine in that arena for this song. And yes, the Kirstie/Mitch duet is breathtaking. Another home run for PTX.

I LOVE this song. It’s been done by so many incredible singers.. I think I’ve listened to every single cover of it. But this.. by far.. the most beautiful one I’ve heard. Unbelievably stunning in every way. Andrea Boceli and Celine.. prob the most famous.. but this is version is incredible. Wow.

Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli recorded this for David Foster. I too have heard several rendition and prior to this when David Phelps/Tally who is my favorite but by all means this is my absolute favorite now. I am already claiming their victory at this giving them their next Grammy. I think it was so ethereal, so stunningly spectacular Best they’ve ever done! I don’t know how they could perfect it in any single or a cumulative portion of it.
One thing I might suggest to you, you had your eyes closed for much of this video playing, you should do yourself a huge favor watch it once all the way through , No interruptions and take in the gorgeous effects of the video it’s self. And then you can also give yourself an enormous bonus by listening to it with your headphones on and your eyes totally shut throughout. It has been a very long time if ever that I have been blessed with four different times by chills and twice with complete body chills. In my opinion this is Pure excellence. A true gift from God to His five angels to us. I just honestly could not imagine being able to love it in anyway anymore than I already do exclamation

It's like comparing apples to oranges. Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, had an amazing arrangement with musical instruments! Pentatonix's arrangement, was amazing, without musical instruments, which increased the difficulty of the performance. I think both Celine and Andrea, would be impressed with this performance!

Andrea Bocelli recorded it first in 1998. later the same year Celine Dion also recorded a single ( neither one hit the charts until they recorded it as a duo in 1999. It was nominated for a grammy but didn't win....BUT I think this is grammy worthy..

The original singers for this song was Celine Dion (English) and Andrea Bocelli (Italian). They sing it so great, it's enchanting. Another who sings it greatly is Marcelito Pomoy, a Fillipino, who doesn't speak English or Italian, but does a duet with himself. Self-taught man with a very hard childhood who used to sing to himself for company and to fight loneliness. You were really suffering. It was written by David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager for the movie Quest for Camelot and written for Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. And it also responsible for the launch of the career of Josh Groban. Andrea Bocelli couldn't do the rehearsal for the Grammys so David Foster asked a voice teacher friend of his if he knew of anyone who could fill in for Bocelli. He got a couple of tapes. The first couple of awful but got to the tape of a young 17 year old Josh Groban. David Foster got hold of Josh and asked him to do the performance. Josh being 17 (and a baritone) said no. Foster wouldn't take no and said "you're doing it", and so he did. And that's how his career got launched. For me, this is even better than the original. The arrangement is spectacular and this is a mature PTX at their absolute best. Loved the reaction. Just hated seeing you suffer so much. :)

David foster, along with some other writers, wrote this song for celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. At the time was celine's manager. She was having dress rehearsals to get sound and lighting and all of that down and andre could not be there. So David Foster sent this young kid who had been sending him Tapes he made of his Singing. That kid was josh groban. After hearing josh sing the song Celine called andre and said you better get here and get here fast. Last I heard david foster, still manages him. Since the video dropped I have gone back to your page gone back to your page to see if you reacted to it And thank you kindly For this reaction.
