TSUMANG FC DEFEND LSU MARTYR’S FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

The 23rd LSU martyr’s football tournament concluded on May 15 at Local Ground Wokha, where the defending champions Tsumang FC retained the champions once again. The final match was played between Tsumang FC vs Sumo XI where the defending champions won the match by scoring three goals to one, emerging as the undefeated champion of the LSU martyr’s football tournament.The undefeated champions Tsumang FC received sixty thousand as a cash prize and the runners-up Sumo XI received a cash amount of thirty thousand. Wokha District Sports Association president Yanrenthung Humtsoe, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. While speaking at the event he appreciated the students for organizing the tournament with a theme “whistle against drugs” and encouraged that it is the role of the students leaders to engage a calendar year programme with different activities to keep the students engaged and showcase their talent providing platforms.
