      ours was on for days and did not go away. My favourite part about Mercedes was a 20k service / once a year. that's how my c class and our GLA was. Never had issue with those 2. With the glc it's multiple times a year and many hours spent at the dealer. Also them saying all the time for us to agree to pay diagnosis fee if they find the problem not to be a defect when the car is still under warranty is ridiculous. They should look for free and charge for repairs if it's caused by you or road debris.

      I'd recommend getting prepaid maintenance on your first visit depending how long you gonna keep your c class. It's huge savings. I work at a Mercedes dealership... we also offer almost every car brand except tesla or foreign brands like renault. You people in the comments made broad generalizations based on individual experiences. This guy seems like the customer that comes back 4 times a week for any and every little thing so I am sure the service writer is just tired of dealing with him and is possibly trying to dissuade him from coming back so much by saying things like 'diag fee'. Mercedes build quality and customer service is some of the best I have come across and I have worked with Toyota, BMW, Mitsu, Honda and GMC. Of course there are outliers... no factory bats 1000 when it comes to car production. What matters is how many mistakes do they make and how does the company deal with recalls and mistakes after they happen. His scratched trim is the dark Linden wood and it is 100% due to him or his children banging it up, not sure why he's trying to blame the brand for him being careless.... I have never seen one look as bad as his.

    First off...
    All vehicle vehicle owners should be aware that they are responsible for the vehicle repairs and any diagnosis for concerns they have. If and when the diagnosis or inspection is complete and the repairs would fall under warranty that is when your inspection or diagnosis would be covered along with the repair.
    It is not the manufacturer's fault if they check engine light is on because you left the gas cap loose.
    It's not the manufacturer's fault if the cruise control doesn't work for you because you didn't hit on before hitting the set button.
    This person likely was offered a means of a shuttle somewhere and likely declined. Because no shop once customers sitting there waiting.
    This customer himself said he will wait. For the repair.
    This customer left without paying for anything because it was covered under warranty.
    I do not understand the point of this video at this moment except to hear someone complain.
    Can't blame the dealerships either for COVID related concerns. You booked an appointment in advance, so you are capable to find a means to go somewhere if you don't want to wait, in advance.

    • @ralphlauren7903
      @ralphlauren7903 Před 10 měsíci

      Im paying no diagnosis fees for any shop visit for something warranty. Never have on any vehicle. Unless the bumper to bumper warranty has fallen off. That is the only time i have paid diagnosis fees. Thats out out 5 brand new vehicles and 8 used. Thats been for mercedes, dodge , chevy , cadillac, gmc and chrysler. New people behind the counter do that kind of stuff and dont know what they are doing. If you have a bumper to bumper warranty there is no diagnosis fee period. Thats a manufacturer warranty to stand behind their craftsmanship for 4 years of 50k miles. Once you exceed which ever comes first then yes you will pay a diagnosis fee when ever you have a concern. You can call the corporate office and tell you the same thing.
