His friends had no idea how mentally ill Michael was. Little was known about traumatic brain injuries in 1997. Michael chose to keep his secret from everyone but Helena. I'm shocked that he sought help for his depression, and Bi Polar like symptoms. Most don't, and that's with loved ones around them who know what the problem is. I've been victimized by a bi polar relative. I can't imagine how Michael suffered those 5 yrs in silence. And all from a sucker punch by a taxi driver who had a bad day. Safe Journey's Michael.
