Trellising with reinforcement mesh | How to fix mesh to fencing

  • In this video I show how we fixed reinforcement mesh to our fencing as an economical form of trellising. We will use this to tie in fan trained fruit trees. We are also using the same type of mesh in our fruit cage and glasshouses.

    Great job, the reinforcing grid Is the UK version of American cattle panels!

      That's interesting. I only started using it because we had an off-cut and I didn't realise how many gardeners were doing the same until I had a look around. That's encouraging as I've since seen a few say that it lasts quite a long time :)

    I have concrete posts and am desperate to get some privacy from my neighbours. Is there any way to fix these panels to concrete posts? (The fence rail is on the neighbour's side so I don't have the option of attaching saddle clips to it.) If not, do you have any other ideas for how I could gain some privacy?
