i think its much better safer technique to dissasembly screen plate. dissasbly frame to upward and turn lay on screen and take upward LEDs. i saw it on some UK guy with 42lb5800
On the job training, hands on, gotta love it. 💜 Had the same TV with the same issue. Lots of screws holding those strips! After I got all done and put the TV back together & turned it on, saw that the panel had a cracked corner (not by me). 😡Customer brought the TV to me in the back of his pick up with a drop cloth over it & the TV must have slid around. Not a happy camper, and I got stuck with a set of brand new LEDs. Now I carefully check screens first while customer is there. PS - I usually wear gloves when handling panels so I don't leave finger prints or smudges on the inside of panel. 😉
tons of screws. thats why other tech didnt put them all back. the corners are the weakest point, with the glove i dont get full control and my hand sweat alot
@@lakestatebullies7391 incorrect. Those 3 long brown caps on the power board have ~380-400v on them. Yes, DC, but still dangerous at those voltages. There's another video of this exact model on another channel where the guy literally takes a reading of 388v from them.

Can you blame him, I would be swetting from my ears and eyes lifting that huge sheet of glass.
You really need to clean your tip of your soldering iron a lot more. There was so much build up on it I was surprised you could even melt solder.

400 volt from power supply board is NOT god for kids either.
Everything on the left of that BLACK FAT LINE on the power supply board it's HIGH VOLTAGE not good for anybody.
There is nothing on this tv that steps up voltage. The power board converts to dc power usually 90v or less
