It costs a little more to have a pre-spooled line, but when you're in the middle of a trimming job czcams.com/users/postUgkx429xwEjNPnwzQohFrURRyKF51YfOD_Du , it is so nice to just pop out the old one and pop in a new one. Love Black & Decker tools. Especially the 20-volt battery operated ones. And, as usual, it came on time. Thanks Amazon!

You are welcome! I have always been mechanically inclined. My father taught me a lot. He was an engineer and an overall jack of all trades. I did a video on this trimmer about how to speed up the process of restringing it. One person in the comments asked me if I could show him a video on how to put it back together. I took on the challenge. So I slowly disassembled it and reassembled it a few times. Then I put together this video! I had no idea it would help so many people! Thanks for watching!!

RJ Thank you so freaking much man. I am a new homeowner and got the echo as my first weed whacker. When the time came to replace the line I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get the old strings out (even after looking at instructions lol). I loosened the 4 screws on the head and the claws, poles, and springs fell out on the floor. I tried putting it back together but couldn’t get the springs figured out. Once i figured out how easy it was to replace the damn strings I was so pissed at myself for touching the screws. Found your video and i was able to put it back together quite easily. Thank you so much man
