MANILA, Philippines - Mutya ng Pilipinas Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel was crowned 2018 Miss Asia-Pacific International, besting 48 other beauties during the coronation night held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila the other night. ( beautyqueen tulfo)
The 21-year-old, 5’8” tall Sharifa is a Muslim teacher from Lebak, Sultan Kudarat. She is a Bachelor of Elementary Education graduate of Notre Dame of Salaman College.
Sharifa also won Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Darling of the Press, Best in National Costume 2nd runner-up, Miss ISKIN and one of five ambassadors of the University of Perpetual Help Systems.
Declared runners-up were Gabriela Palma of Brazil (first, also Best in Swimsuit), Melania Gonzales of Costa Rica (second), Misheelt Narmandakh of Mongolia (third) and Nataly Angarita of Venezuela (fourth).

- Mylene said that she thought the affair was over until she chanced upon an FB Live of her husband where she saw the reflection of Sharifa on the pond at their home in Mindanao
- She also shared screenshots of the text messages between her and Sharifa
Mrs. Mylene Mangudadatu sought the help of Idol Raffy and complained about the alleged illicit affair of her husband, Cong. Toto Mangudadatu, and Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel.
According to Mylene, Sharifa, being a titleholder, should be a good example to young people, but with her an alleged illicit affair with her husband, she is not being a good example at all.

Mylene also narrated how she discovered that there was still something going on between the beauty queen and her husband, which she thought was already over when she chanced upon an FB Live of Toto.
She said that she saw the reflection of Sharifa on the pond at their home in Mindanao, and from then on, she started watching the FB Live sessions of the congressman.
"Bigla ko pong napanood sa FB live ng asawa ko, lumabas si Ms. Sharifa sa refection sa pond dun po sa bahay namin sa Mindanao."
"Minsan po, yung isa nilang video, naglalandian po po sila through bulong-bulong din po."
According to Mylene, the case was already with her lawyer. She said she heard that Sharifa wanted to join other beauty pageants, but she emphasized that Sharif no longer has the right to represent the Philippines because of a stained dignity.

Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel is a 22-year-old beauty queen. She served as teh muse of Vietnam at the Southeast Asian Games 2019. She was born in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, Philippines.
