  • Learn How to Roast Garlic in the Oven using two different methods that are quick, easy, and will give you perfectly caramelized garlic cloves every time. This simple whole roasted garlic head recipe is the perfect addition to any mashed cauliflower, potato, broccoli, or side dish recipe, too!
    RECIPE: www.evolvingta...
    INGREDIENTS:
1 or more heads of garlic
    Olive oil
    Salt
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    Preparing the Garlic:
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Peel and remove any excess papers around the outer layer of the garlic cloves.
Cut the top of the head of garlic to expose all of the garlic cloves. You may need to go around and individually cut each clove on the sides if they were not originally cut.
Drizzle ½ - 1 tablespoon of olive oil onto each head of garlic and rub into the cloves. Sprinkle each head with ¼ - ½ teaspoon of salt.
    Roasting in a Pan:
Place head(s) of garlic cut side up in a loaf pan or muffin pan. Cover pan with parchment paper and then aluminum foil.
Bake in oven for 40-60 minutes or until cloves are caramelized.
    Roasting in Packets:
Wrap each head of garlic in a piece of parchment paper and then in a piece of aluminum foil.
Place packets on a baking sheet and roast in oven for 40-60 minutes or until cloves are caramelized.
Remove garlic cloves with a small spoon: Place the spoon around the rim of each garlic clove, twist it around to loosen up the skin, and push down to pop out the garlic clove. Repeat with remaining cloves.
Serve roasted garlic with a toasted baguette or use it in a Mashed Cauliflower recipe.

THANK YOU for mentioning about the tin foil and how the heavy metal from the foil could get into the garlic clove. I'm only using tin foil right now, but if/when I make this again, I'll use parchment paper and then, tin foil. Wonderful video. Thank you so much. Thumbs up!

Tin isn't heavy and it doesn't transfer when cooking, that's why it's ubiquitous in kitchens

@@chrisbarrett2117 right. If you use really cheap tin foil that flakes into food then you were being too cheap. lol

@@chrisbarrett2117 It’s not tin anyways, it’s aluminium, we just call it tin foil for whatever reason. I believe there is a link between aluminium and dementia, as it can be neurotoxic if it gets into your body. That’s why triple-clad stainless pans use a layer of aluminium in the middle of two layers of stainless steel so that you get the excellent conductivity without the risks of your food touching the aluminium.
