How many people in this world can say they rode from Los Angeles down to Bolivia on a Harley-Davidson. Then add the layer of documenting the whole thing on CZcams. Danny you’re one of the greats. Congrats man. The small water fall shot with the bike gave me chills. Awesome man.

When I lived there, we just called it the road. Cochabamba to Lapaz and back a couple of times.

Glad you got there Danny I rode down in 92 with my brother in the back of a truck through the waterfalls and passing other trucks n buses normally on the bends😅 stopped in corroico with some Aussie surfing friends we who’d been surfing in chile and wanted to play golf on the highest golf course 😅

I found you through ole shadetree surgeon. I’ve been watching for about a month now, and have been catching up on your older stuff as well. I gotta say as a new CZcamsr, you get the shot Danny! Your a good dude. Just like the rest of us fighting demons. I’ve seen a lot of hate because you show emotion, but I would love to see the haters do a 1/8th of what you do. They would quit! Keep doing you! Love the content, and I’m SUPER impressed only one GoPro and a drone. Just wow. Love it man!

@@lifetimerider4443 I’ve not watched all of his videos, but from what I have seen he is a high strung guy, who does want everything done his way. Understandably. I don’t see him being better than anyone. I do see a broken man that has been hurt and let down by a lot of people and he relies and trusts no one. I can relate in ways, I’ve been there myself. Luckily I let people in. Maybe you see something I’m not seeing. Like I said I just started following him about a month ago.

I am a 67 yr old woman who seeks the roughest most remote roads I can find, this was the best and I wished I was riding it in person. If you want more Danny, take your Harley to North Vietnam, they have roads like this that the world has not heard of yet. Let me know if you go, I will join you! Thanks for the incredible footage
When you went to the edge of the road and showed us the drop off, my arse clamped up like a hedgehog and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. Spectacular...congratulations on an amazing achievement. Astonishing that the roadking is still going strong after all these miles and my clutch bearing on my Dyna is shot at only 15000.

He is terminally ill he bought a 05 Harley same model as yours and does very short trips as his eyesight and body is failing … I just wanna say thank you for all your videos. On the days he can’t do much he lives vicariously through watching your adventures dreaming of what it would be like to be out there with you! Bolivian Tourist Road now renamed that they built a modern bypass. Try it in a bus sometime, then it becomes the death road again. Guardrails plentiful, no traffic....try the Alps sometime.
This is why we ride. An old timer once told me that on any bike you can go wherever you want. You just have to be patient. Awesome ride!

Fun trip. There was a road, in the San Bernadino Mountains, that made nearly, everyone in the car, cry. It was built by the WPA as a "make work" project after the Great Depression, 1930's. The "strike" of the rock went the wrong way which, caused the road and cliffs above to fall away, unexpectedly. It was closed around 1965. Sheer cliffs and no guard rail are a real combo on a sharp, winding, narrow track. I'll never forget that ride.

Maybe the first Aussie to ride a modern bagger over that over rated tourist road road to La Paz. My Gramps rode a 1st year production 1937 Knucklehead bagger solo with his camping gear from Los Angeles down to the tip of Patagonia S.A. back in 1939, took nearly a year as he criss -crossed the Andes Mountains where ever it was possible all the way down & visited nearly every country in S.A. & did on rode the Atlantic coast of S.A. as well, rode El Camino real aka Pacific Coast Hwy- 1 all the way back to Los Angeles, No paved roads back in the day & every road or track ridden was a death road in those times. Of coarse went prepared, he had knowledge & knew how to wrench on his own bike, spoke Spanish fluently & never stayed at any 5 star hotels along the way..Hardcore adventurers back then long before the selfie YT generation, they did things they enjoyed without any fanfare or notoriety.

But times have moved on , machines have moved on , we live in very capitalistic world .. there is no denying the fact that Danny captured that moment on the death road n shared it with the world .. so that people who can’t ride can appreciate it ..
Re staying in 5 star hotels !! why not ?? it’s more scientific after a hard days rest .. ur body needs good rest n pool n good food so that u can carry on riding n keep doin in day in day out .. if u can afford it why not !! Infact it’s very smart on Danny to create that income stream to afford those accommodations!! u don’t have to “ ROUGH IT OUT “ by the side of the road !! just coz u can !!
