Hi guys! Last week I hopped on a train out to Namyangju, the area right next to Seoul that feels like a world away. The nature was absolutely breathtaking and I can't hype this bike path up enough! If you're looking for something to do solo or a fun day with some friends, this was a really peaceful, easy escape from the city and I was back in Seoul for dinner :) Thanks as always for coming along for the ride!

Cari !! The "bike only trail" goes all the way to not only Incheon but also Busan. Actually it's connected to most of cities of Korea. I'm really missing " the bike only trails " in Korea.
When i lived in Seoul. I had a fantastic opportunity to ride the bike all the way to Busan with my friends for 3days. Because It's only for bikes along the several rivers , there is no threats from the cars , pollution and Zombies like Train to Busan. Lol. You can just enjoy sheer beautiful country side of Korea. Fully recommended when you are in Korea!!!

edit: also you saying "because this is Korea, I was able to leave my bike in the parking lot without locking it or anything. It's still here, its fine" is literally so cool. I love that.

Emilinaline same goes for Japan! I never have to lock my bike in the city or worry about someone stealing my bag when I leave it on the beach and go for a walk đđș
margo ovs yes! Japan and Japanese culture was my first culture love before I discovered South Korea and Korean culture :) I admire places such as Japan for the same reasons!
If this was in the netherlands her bike would have been stolen 5 times đ I got my bike stolen 3 times with 2 locks only this year đ

the bike trail connects Incheon to Busan actually. If you have the time and the guts, give it a try. it was a life-changing experience for me.
I was in Paldang 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely gorgeous, can't recommend enough! I bike to work every day and so biking for pleasure was a welcome change. I'm glad you had a good time and thanks for sharing âĄ

I lived in Namyangju from 2015-2017, and used to love riding my bike out of town and being out in a natural setting on weekends. Beautiful place to live. Thanks for sharing this, so nostalgic for me! :)

I'm from the Netherlands which is known for fanatically biking people and flat (boring) sceneries lol. I love this soooooo much!! When I was in Korea a few years ago I cycled along the Han river but in the middle of Seoul so it was quite busy. But this cycling path is THE DREAM. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! This is definitely on my to-go list for the next time I visit Korea(hopefully within 5 years). Thanks for exploring it for us!
