That is really good mud. the best clay. I moved to florida USA and could not get any clay so I have to make my tandoor with Large size flower pot and a 200 liter metal drum.

The preparation process is the most important of all. Bad clay=bad result. These guys know their trade perfectly. Grit added to the clay makes it a bit more forgiving. Working the clay to remove air bubbles.

I've watched enough of these great videos to know that somewhere nearby is a family run metal workers shop making these steal shells with just as much skill and love as this guy who made the competed tandoor in this video. There is no pride in the mass produced here in the US and around the world with the make it cheap so it falls apart planned obsolescence philosophy so the customer has to repurchase often.
