Just got Deneb as a Wicce - her side quest is absolutely adorable and funny~ But I really appreciate the guidance on how to use her, it's like having another mage-knight in my party!

In my game, I use Deneb as basically a unit stopper. She almost exclusively uses charm at 90-100% odds and can charm 2 or three units with the spell, so she can effectively slow down the enemy team. That with the combination of witch's smile or stirring kiss she can cause all manners of havoc. I also like running a berserker pumpkin with a warlock, it'll do upwards of 2.4k on a good hit.
Between Empower Golem berserker and Empower Golem Instrument finishers, pumpkins have some explosive damage potential. Put familiar on top of that, and basically every class you can give them has high value efficiency for stat charms.
And to think, Deneb relegates them to mere manual labor and desk jobs.

Stinky set is all well and good but when you recruit her before getting it the class feels terrible. That's why everyone makes her a shaman and leaves it at that.
She definitely wants those relics or uniques, but that Whip/Smile combo can trivialize a lot of fights. I'd rather have her as a Valk, Shaman has a lot of the same problems, but is just better specialized for mid cost spells at that point. But that's why there's a variety for all tastes 😂
If you can slap regular defensive gear, it's not too bad. Don't sleep on her tank stats being just as good as her casting stats, that's more than 100 total stat more than normal mages.
@@CoffeePotato Deneb as a Valk? That sounds promising, as Deneb Shaman has been disappointing so far for me. Then again Dark Priest Catiua is hard to beat.
@@LizaWongFF Shaman's kind of a dull version of the Lich. They have their power spike with several asterisks in 4-C1, at least. The don't get the sustainability of the Valk or Lich, they don't get the power spikes of the ranged units, or the weird pivot play of the melee units. They kind of just..sit there shooting. Bit dull, but it's a role!
I've been waiting for the Songstress and haven't ever tamed a Pumpkin. The mesh of the AoE Regen and elemental coverage is great! I've only not been able to profit out of her AI too much; the computer doesn't like any song besides the MP/HP gain without buffs.
I’ve never even seen a Pumpkin. Where they hang out??
@@gmoney5772 I've seen a handful in PotD (almost sure they're not for sale), but Deneb recruitment quest line involves a fight with a group that should be recruitable.
Yup, the AI won't use most of the buff/debuff moves specifically across most categories, I'm assuming there were some stories out of testing to explain that one.
@@gmoney5772 There's several named ones on Deneb's side quest (Pumpkinstopholes actually breaks the text limit even), and there's some every few floors in POTD. You can recruit them with Control Golem, but they have to be the Familiar variants.

I really love your Tactics Ogre series ! It has become one of my favorite games to play that I always come back to.
I've been now searching for the unique element enemies that you have mentioned a few times. Like the dark griffon, dark cocatrice and the ice lich ! I have also read somewhere of a Light Lamia in B7 of San Bronsa but havent checked myself.
Do you know of any other odd unique recruits like those? I have been itching to find a unique fairy or pumpkin familiar like that!
I'm still looking myself, There's definitely more out there.
@@CoffeePotato Wait, what's this about a light lamia and a dark cockatrice? I haven't heard about those two.
@ValeVin The cockatrice should be in the Dievold fight during the Cressida recruitment quest line. As for the Light Lamia (Witch), I read it in a GameFAQ post saying people found one in B7 in San Bronsa. But I haven't seen anything concrete other than that in Reborn. I do plan to make a trip there eventually to confirm. I do hope it is real though!
What happens if you combine the stinky set with Pumpkin Lure? Does one override the other or does the AI get confused?
