      The Aprilia came in at 6900 (vs your estimated 8200)
      It also has slightly better power:weight than the Ninja 500 se (6400)
      So you were wrong on both counts there. Is the quickshifter and suspension worth 500? It's a pretty compelling argument.

    I don't know how I feel about recommending more Maintenance Heavy European and Chinese Motos for Beginners. Not all but most Beginner Riders are usually younger and usually don't really have a lot of finances set aside for Proper Maintenance with Parts and Labor and usually more times than not, these Beginner Riders aren't exactly fully mechanically inclined to properly maintain these Motos themselves and regarding the Chinese Brands, the main issue here in USA is not a lot of Dealership Network to access for Proper Maintenance and usually Chinese Bikes while affordable, they break down a lot more often compared to other brands. Assuming these are recommendations that are intended to be kept for a long time, I would recommend Beginner Riders stay away from the Chinese and the European brands due to either their high amounts of wrenching needed as seen with Chinese brands or higher costs for Parts and Labor as commonly seen with the more complex built European brands. Beginner Riders will be a lot better off with a machine that 99% of the time they can just swing their leg over and hit the starter and it ALWAYS just works and gives them very little worry of ever being stranded.

    I am deciding whether to start on Scrambler 400x or zx4r, really love both machines. But soft spot for zx4r though. (Triumph Speed 400 prices are released here and it's $2800 here, it will definitely cost more there since it's made here in our country) However, the Zx4r costs $10200 here (The Zx4RR isn't available, only the Zx4R with black paint and no shock adjustability)

    • @rocka07
      @rocka07 Před 5 měsíci

      Depends on what you want a bike for. If u wont go for tracks and u wil use to commute, you wont like zx4r. Sportbikes are for enthusiastic bikers, the riding style aint that comfortable and take a pillion is not as good. If you want to ride solo and have ground to speed, go for it, but its better start with Ninja 400, cause it will be less money spend on it. 4pipes are juicy but they will also suck your pockets and, if you are learning, go for one you wont scratch so much 😅 peace

      @@rocka07 oh yeah I am somewhat of an enthusiast, love bikes all the way. I know the production for Zx4R will also stop soon eventually. I am gonna own this and probably will keep this forever with me. It's more of a novelty product, and yeah track days are also in mind. This won't be a commuter but rather just a fun ride bike

    I was about to buy a Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled or a Triumph Scrambler 1200 xe as a first street bike. But that Scrambler 400x might just be the perfect jump towards bikes like that in the future. Looking forward to getting to sit on one and test drive it.
    For reference, I am 30 years old, with a ton of atv experience and moderate dirt bike experience. I'm also 6'5" with the outrageous inseam of 37", so there aren't a ton of beginner bikes out there for me unless I wanted an ugly adventure bike 🤮.
    TL;DR I'm super excited for the Triumph Scrambler 400x as a good looking and fit for a taller riders beginner bike.

    So if someone was a beginner rider and wants to do track days with their first bike would the Aprilia 457 be the best bet?

    • @chaseschubert6711
      @chaseschubert6711 Před 8 měsíci

      Personal opinion, if you are going to Focus and Mainly do track riding and If money and the extra cost of the Aprilia is not a problem then yes. It make a lot more torque than then the rc390, 450ss, and ninja 400, and almost as much power as the 450ss. It is built for the track, it has fully adjustable suspension, traction control, and many other things. However if you are not planning on a lot of track riding than I would say the cfmoto or ninja are the best of street and track
