Hi Jennifer ~ Thanks so much for taking us step-by-step through this process several times so we totally understand the process. Having the MISTI will definitely help with this technique as it has with most of my stamping. (I have permanent nerve damage in my neck/arm/hand from an accident and the MISTI has absolutely allowed me to get back to making the cards I love.) I appreciate all of your tips, tricks, techniques and suggestions but along the same lines as the MISTI is that I finally purchased the Fiskars Softouch Micro-Tip scissors you recommended. They too have changed things for me and I'll be forever grateful for that. Any relief = more crafting time!! ~HUGS~

Thank You Once again you are the Queen of You Tube! I love your tutorials. the mirror image technique, took me back to the 80's and I dug out my Rubber Stampede wood mount rubber Mirror Image Stamp! I recently used the Press N Seal , to apply die cut script , by lining up script with grid, place P N S on top, turn over then apply Ranger glue, then turn over and apply to project, and no glue on my fingers , didn't need tweezers. Oh and Yes I just ordered my Misti! Thank You ,

I love that tone on tone background. I have the die and never thought to use it like this - !!!! Mirror stamping with the Misiti is great. I've done it before with just plain blocks, but the image usually comes out much lighter than a direct stamp to paper image. With the Misiti you can mirror stamp again - in the exact same spot - and get a nice dark image just the same as a direct to paper stamp.

Hi Jennifer. I saw someone doing mirror stamping the other day but thought I would try using my stamping platform. It worked but needed something and you have just showed me I need a clear stamp for depth. I haven't got one of those but will play around to get the thickness so it stamps better. Luvs and Hugs xxxx Wendy

BTW, I did break down and get a MISTI, which has been well worth the price for me. My eyes aren't great and my hands shake sometimes, so getting a perfectly stamped image is hit and miss for me. With the MISTI, I can correct errors easily and take my time to line up the stamps without having the ink dry up.

I asked my husband to make a MISTI-type item for me by hinging a picture frame to a base of some type and he thought I was crazy. I waited a while but his creation never materialized so I finally purchased the real thing. Now I use it almost every time I stamp. I like that it stamps cleanly and accurately. I think they are overpriced no matter how many times I use it.

A money saving tip: silicone sheet (e.g. Dehydrator sheets or gasket sheeting) works as an alternative to the mirror-block stamps. You can also adapt a CD or DVD case or even a photo album with clear cover to work like a MISTI if they are not licensed for sale in your area - MISTI are subject to sales regs that a lot of companies strongly disagree with and refuse to sell them, which makes them really hard to get outside of the USA.

I love your videos, there is always something new to learn for me. I saw the misti some times bevore but always thought I dont need that, but the more I saw it, the more I saw how much opportunities it gives. So I also saw videos where people made themselves tools like the misti, and i tried it, too, but it wasnt as good as the original must be. the last thing I tried was the hemmingsbo from Ikea, which comes very close, I just miss the magnetic way to hold the paper in its place. and the grid. so I was thinking about how to complete it and shared my thoughts with my husband, and he said I should buy me a misti. I ordered one mini misti (we dont have much money and this is more than we can spend for toys, which the misti is in my eyes and in my husbands too) and tomorrow they will bring it onto its travel to me) I am so excited, I want to run to the shop and get it, although its so far away. Because this is not possible I watch videos at youtube and find more and more things Id like to buy, like the altenew layer-stamps. and the ink for them and some glue and more and more. so I dont know if I like to thank you for all those expiration or hide under my blanket and nor watch videos anymore...
