I think it was against West Germany actually, in February '66, following up a shot the keeper couldn't hold and scoring from a yard out, the only goal of the game
@@gadaboutunited you are quite correct it was a friendly played at Wembley in Feb 1966,Stiles played center forward wearing the number 9 shirt and scored the only goal ,Geoff Hurst played his first international game for England that game it would only be a few months after that he scored his hat trick in the world cup final ,I remember listening to the friendly , game on the radio at Eccles youth center as I played table tennis downstairs in the sports room ,Thank you for not shoving my mistake down my throat ,you were very polite about it ,all the best

Yes this video looks that way, and yes he was a bit naughty, but nobby could play too. Every team in those days had a player like nobby otherwise you would have been walked all over......today's players wouldn't last 5 minutes literally. ..soft
@@tweedy670 I'm a united fan aswell but surely they have footage of him being a decent footballer? The first three clips are basically just him acting like joey Barton used to yet he doesn't get called great does he? Yes I know he won a world Cup but aswell all this "footballers nowadays wouldn't last 5 minutes back then" yet the standard of football nowadays is fucking miles better than it used to be.
