Bob Dylan - It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (Live at Royal Albert Hall - 1965) [INCREDIBLE VERSION]

  • This video is a little peek at a full concert I'll be uploading soon recorded at Albert Hall in London, England on May 9, 1965. The concert recording is interesting in the fact that the first half of it was actually not recorded from the soundboard, for whatever reason, and it remains the only concert from Dylan's England tour with an incomplete soundboard recording. However, an audience member had recorded the entire concert, so the first half will come from that audience tape. It'll be interesting to hear what it was like to be in the audience as well as the crisp, clean sound recorded with professional instruments.
All other things aside, this is an incredible version of this song. Dylan's pronunciations and singing voice are gorgeous. Even though the microphone seems to be overdriven, this is one of the finest examples of "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" from the year it was released. Enjoy this gem while you can!

Hey all you experts that say Dylan can't sing get a load of THIS! This is just wonderful.
Sometimes I think "Bringing it All Back Home" really is my favorite Dylan record. And Baby Blue is only one of the gems on it. Too many masterpieces..

BIABH is probably one of my favorites, as well. Just a fantastic sound all around. Plus his voice is incredible on it.

So right 'Too many masterpieces' - BIABH contains some of the most amazing song lyrics ever to be recorded.

      J. Dallison. Lol. There are several notable standouts that would be a good collective argument!
Another element is that he has a keen musical ear and is always in tune when singing live even in the days of bad sound systems and substandard monitors.
It's a very hard thing to do when you can't hear yourself. You have to know the notes in your mind and send the signals to your voice.

Dylan is his own Master! Another one of hundreds of gems that Dylan wrote and sung over the years, never the same version, but the same person. No one can do that to be honest! Pure genius. Period. From the early 70s when I discovered him by accident, I never stopped appreciating his music! Thank you for sharing this. God Bless!

You can really hear the transcendence of the music of Bob Dylan thought the album's. I mean 'Another side of Bob Dylan' was a nod to a turn to a more intimate direction and then Bringing it all back home is kind of a farewell to the old self and welcoming the new thin Mercury sound. And Highway 61 revisited is going deeper into that direction both in terms of writing and perfecting the overall feel of that music type. And Blonde on Blonde had magic in it. It is like pouring magic into your ears.

Oh! Bobby as long as your Art preserves Forever Young It's not all over now!
The reference to Jung's theory of syncretism( take what you've gathered for coincidence) Is a step forward into the Evolution of Dylan's philosophy of Life.
The last Song he played at Newport folk festival in to the infamous show of '65.
His last goodbye to the new left world ( Oh but I was so much older than/ I'm younger than that now)/ crying tears of Rage/regret/ contempt.
The end of a Life & the start of a totally different music Adventure. As usual, he was right.
Ladies & Gentlemen here to you in voice & harp in all of His splendor the coolest & Amazing guy in all the universe/the beloved boy from the North Country/ the only One Who took the Torch of artistic Genius & creativity from Picasso & changed everything!.
A lesson for the fucking idiots Who pretend that he Can't sing!
They really have a lotta of nerve to repeat the outrage.
This Awesome rendition of an outstanding Masterpiece ( One of hundreds he wrote) confirms Sinatra's sentence:
"Noone inhabit a Song like Dylan does neither me".
& For me that's One Is ultimate about the matter!
Dear Swingin', sometimes Just like in this post of yours " too much of Beauty can make a man Blind" & believe me this Is a bitter Truth!
Nevertheless, Dostoevskij said that One day Beauty Will save the world.
He spoked about the Beauty of Jesus Christ, but Surely the beauty of Bob's Art Is a shelter from the Storm a solid Rock to cling to throughout the ugly days of our present time/ without ideals or violence.
I Wish you & all the Bob listeners a wonderful Sunday.
    🌈🤗🎶

@@SwinginPig Where do you get all of these rare Dylan recordings?

    • @SwinginPig
      @SwinginPig  Před 4 lety +12

Santiago Monleon Mostly from eBay, local record stores (there’s a secret passcode you have to tell the guy for bootlegs haha) and trades online. Been a few years in the making, but I believe I have just about every note Dylan recorded from 1960-1966, then a big handful of stuff afterwards. If you can get your hands on the Cutting Edge: Collector’s Edition (unofficially sometime pop up on eBay), that’s the best official release for die hard fans that’s ever been put out, but unfortunately, the real deal fetched thousands of dollars (they only copied 5,000). I was lucky enough to get one as a present when it was released (in 2016 it was not thousands of dollars). This recording was part of the digital add-on “live extras,” all of the live performances Dylan did in ‘65. Sorry for rambling, I just love talking about this!
