I didn't know Plaza was such a good physical actor till this show. It feels like she's had all this talent under the deadpan surface and finally got given the chance to unleash it

I feel like she manages to steal almost every single scene she's in. God now I need to rewatch all of this before the next season comes around.
No, it's not some SJW study and reflection on gender and race in roles. She auditioned like everyone else and made an impression, the director knew how to use her skills and all that, and THAT'S IT.

Sort of. My cable subscriber FX only offered season two. Although some was confusing, I was able to understand most. The beautifully shot visuals & great acting, caused me to ignore things I couldn't grasp, Luckily I recently found season one, at my library. I binge watched it, and yes it answered some questions. I'm now watching two again, too see what I missed the first time around. I don't understand why my cable subscriber doesn't offer season 1 on demand free as well? Honestly this is a stupid move. A complete back story would only increase viewership when season three is released.
To the people commenting that it looks cool, but is confusing as they haven't seen the show, wondering if it's worth watching: It is the best comic book show you will ever see. It is so visually creative, is a complete mindfuck, has wonderful twists, beautifully stylized, just overall like nothing you've seen before.
@@pyrogreg8 Not really. I didn't hate season 2 (except the ending), but season 3 isn't necessarily as *good* . The ending feels a bit peculiar, and a lot of sections, like the whole time kittens, feel, no pun intended, like fluff. I ironically did like some of the wackier sections, like the strange episode spent on rebirthing Sid (who was my least favorite character after season 2), and the strange dance sequence featuring the big bad wolf. It's definitely not terrible, but just watching season 1 is probably going to give you the best experience of Legion, as the ending is so good, and is sort of soured by seasons 2 and 3.

This show is beyond comparison. The first time I watched this scene, I was completely sitting still with my mouth open. I've looked it up on here to watch it again...and again.
Everything in this scene is completely epic. And the particular track that sits so perfectly, Fauxlero - a modern electronic version of the classical Bolero , makes perfect sense through the entire clip, don't you think? It is what makes everything come together to produce this epic mindfuck of a scene. I haven't even followed this series, but I just became a fan and decided to start watching from the beginning.
Niles Herman This show just rocks. Incredibly inventive and fresh feeling. Utterly unlike anything else Marvel has produced and a really positive sign for the superhero genre going forward. Now if only DC could get its act together. I feel like our world could do with a solid Superman adaptation that wasn't whatever they were going for with Batman V Superman. Just because Zack Snyder could direct a shot for shot remake of Watchmen doesn't make him into the authority in heavy subject matter.
This show terrified me. Not in the sense to where I was scared, but it was like an actual mindfuck as an emotion in the sense that I was on the edge of my seat being drawn in by sheer horrific things like body mangled and twisted in grotesque yet clean ways. I love this show so much
Just started watching Legion and had to look up this track and scene again. Everything about this scene is epic and Aubrey Plaza steals it with her entrance and performance. The idea of the silent movie title cards.... *chef's kiss.
Every single frame, music, scene, story, plot, character of this masterpiece is simply perfect. Legion is one of the highest product of entertainment, ever.
Honestly one of the best shows I've seen in ages. Easily in my top shows of all time. The writing is brilliant, the actors and actresses nail their roles and even after a full season, I'm still wondering who and what is real.
I think it's a psychic layer and you're right. And I know you didn't say this but it's not to be mistaken with SHIELD the organization because it's simply a shield to shield from the bullet
Ayup. Haven't watched the show, but I'm guessing its going off the idea that 'idea = reality'. The representation idea of protection would be a 'SHIELD', so the idea has to be visualized in some simple, easy to understand form, with the word itself, along with its assumed connotations. So now that the idea is represented by the word and how its fundamentally viewed as, then reality follows suit. Gets weird when you have to visualize psychic-based powers in something more recognizable than 'Character points hand at object, and object just moves'. Just a theory, anyway.
This show is so wonderfully weird. I can't get enough of it. I just finished season 2 and already want to rewatch it from the beginning because I know I've missed a lot.
It probably will be. I suspect we'll either be getting Marvel MAX or something similar to it for the harder edged stuff coming out of Marvel now, which is fine. It worked for the comics and it'll work for the movies if they play it that way (and they are talking about doing just that).
I hope its safe from Disney turning it into a generic superhero formula. If all superhero series and movies were like Captain America and Iron Man, we would never have true gems and works of art like Legion, Logan and Deadpool.
