Always gets on my last nerve when wannabe music critics knock someone for covering a signature song. This is NOT about Alicia trying to compete or out-sing Amy...it’s simply about one beautifully talented artist paying respect & tribute to another.
Not really because both of them are doing Soul music. What’s make differences is more their voice’s tone and the vocal technic. Whereas Amy got more a motown technic and vibe really deepened in the 50/60´sound, Alicia is more in the soft Soul and Neo Soul sound that’s more fiting with her voice. I really love both of them, I think they are both great !

Music education and promotion of the arts is so important. I'm s former English teacher and now substitute teacher. I hate seeing such important cultural parts that help to us all feel human go due to funding issues. LOVE THIS!
