They must have thought ahead about people rewatching the event in replay so they did the animations for attention to detail.
I for some reason hope we can go back to the Chapter 2 map and see the destruction. I’d also love to see a remastered Chapter 1 map, imagine it having beaches where Snobby Shores was and the new mountains and reworked locations it’d be great
Imagine if there's an event or gamemode where we can go back to the Chapter 2 side of the island and see a fully corrupted and destroyed version of it. Maybe it could feature gameplay like a Zombie outbreak mode where there's cube monsters everywhere and it's just a sickly place overall. Maybe we could be going there to recover tech or resources or something. Just a quickly drawn up idea.

@@itselizauwu it'd be so cool to see someone make a map concept of the whole Chapter 2 Map with destruction. Roads and bridges collapsed. Overgrown cities. Parts of said cities completely gone. The yellow abductors that crashed into the island when it flipped too. Maybe a Coral Castle that isn't sunken halfway into the earth?
And we know people can do that. Just look at RaphooComix and Harvey Plays for example

The abductors in chapter 2 season 7 were purple cube powered and the abductors in the event were golden cube powered.

Purple = abduction. Gold = destruction. Red = unknown
One thing I wish they did was actually show the island more, like maybe letting us see the abductors destroy the locations in little scenes or something just to give us more of a feeling of the map actually being destroyed, like letting players explore the map and watch as all their favourite locations get destroyed
Imagine if. Instead of being afloat for 8 hours. We could be like drones. And visit the locations in super crispy detail. Like some buildings are cut in half. Others are intact. Water sources like rivers flow and look different because bridges and debris have blocked some or entire rivers. The dam was destroyed too so it could show a flooded South map. All that and more would have been sick but it would've taken a ton of time
Honestly it’s really heartbreaking to see chapter 2 go…
it really made me sad seeing the island after the destruction, all the memories we made were destroyed in a few minutes

I’m glad the Chapter 2 map has gone it was getting tedious after a while there are some POIs I miss but overall I’m glad it’s a new map

Man knowing that abductors destroyed parts of the map during the event too, I REALLY want to return to the Chapter 2 side of the island one day to see how it would look, even if just for an event.

Interesting how the Zero point was gonna be unstable at one point in the event, or it was gonna be use at the island flip scene but was scrapped
The unstable has always been there in the impostors gamemode, idk why
You can see for a brief second when all the water floods in it becomes unstable
I think they were planning a season 9 and 10 but because players got so bored of chapter 2 they released chapter 3 early
@@MiniCrew11 they didn't get bored, Season 9 and 10 didn't happen because of the Delays of Chapter 2 Season 1, 2, and 5.

I bet if the map destruction scene time were extended it would destroy all the POI and Landmarks
This was definetely the best event ever. It may have been a bit short, but it was amazing
it wasnt short, it was the normal length that events always are lmao, its just that you felt it was short

I’m incredibly impressed (even though most of the locations are low poly) that the Abductors actually destroy the POIs and landmarks and have the locations completely wiped clean

I must admit it, I miss the Chapter 2 so much! I started playing in Chapter 2 Season 5 and from then I loved the Chapter 2 so much and now it's gone.

Certainly the abductors destroyed POIs during the event but in the Dkyfire event, an explosion takes place at Steamy Stacks and was still there in season 8

I think I know why the camera couldn’t go through the portal.
In some games and likely here too, developers use a trick where the place smaller versions of objects that are supposed to be large somewhere outside the skybox, and project it to make it look like it’s within the skybox itself, giving the illusion that the objects are bigger.
The reason the camera couldn’t reach inside the portal was probably because it was heading towards the projection/skybox and not the real ones that could be somewhere outside the skybox.
Cube queen is NOT dead because u can clearly see on chapter three the two mountains from far away that maybe look like is a circle but that’s were the cube queen is , epic games put her there on purpose for us to see. I hope this helps.

Probably the second best live event of the game, right after Operation Skyfire. So sad epic doesnt care anymore of this kind of events and storytelling. The last "good event" was more than a year ago. Chapter 2 was awesome, i miss it so much.
