I love the fact that whenever they’re with James Acaster both Ed Gamble and Josh Widdicombe both piss themselves laughing st what ever he says.

@@TheSNFB he does have a unique talent for making other comics laugh til it hurts. id love to see him on a team with russel brand and noel fielding. i believe the robo congo cuckoo clock actually got the biggest laugh reaction from dara and co and audience in mock the week history. and james managed similar laughter levels more times than any other panel member. him and dara are the funniest two on mock the week. i dont understand why james has not been back on mock the week since. p,s, does anyone know why they've stopped the current season after just six episodes?? theres been no more on bbc i player, same with have i got news for you. and the lockdown and covid emergency is basically over, so makes no sense. i dont like how james has got more serious now though. his podcast he is way too serious in it-hes not doing his comic ultra ego persona at all. same things happened to russel brand-and him and james have similar humour type-e.g. they are disrupters and very silly.
i think season seventeen was the last one james acaster did. i know i co fronts the show ''hypothetical'' but its still a good idea to get on shows like mock the week even just one episode per season, . they keep your comic profile up high. frankly the show has been mediocre without james. i would have made him a permanent panel member like hugh. i still watch it. dara is just brilliant-best host ever of a tv panel show. you look at have i got news for you, and how they couldnt get it sorted after whats his name who did the cocaine shots off prostitutes tits got fired. and he shouldnt have been fired. providing he could endure the backlash at him from cohosts and live audience for a while, it would have got old and they would have stopped. and he did endure it very well. then the bbc backtracked and fired him anyway. this was before woke. if it happened now he would have been fired immediately., so fast, the message to fire him would have surpassed the speed of light and travelled back in time.despite the fact that most of the bbc producers were the prostitutes he was snorting the coke off as he was too high to notice. and it feels like its been on its last legs for years. bit like the simpsons.should have got jeremy clarkson as permanent host, or richard ayoade-both do it very well, particularly as neither of them are woke which fits the shows political leaning.
its not like theres a range of topical panel comic news shows to watch instead. theres mock the week and the highbrow have i got news for you. satire in britain has really declined given we used to be the world leaders at it. anyone want to know what european humour was like during peak have i got news for you, just watch the old french tv show ''eurotrash''.
If James and Oliver Phelps hadn't been cast as Fred and George Weasley, I would want James to play it as a dual role.

Yes, leading the Congo would be very stressful. Do I need to plan a route? Yes, most likely. "Oh God, I miss my family". It's amazing how you can substitute the two. Mock the Week is like 2% good comedians/jokes and then a bunch of unfunny people riffing off those good jokes and somehow sucking all the energy and fun out of it. Like, how many times did we see Acaster crack a witty joke then it's immediately aped and repeated by the others but with half or less of the humour? So glad for these clips of Acaster only, he's the only one from this show I'd really watch.
