Wow, GH5s is a perfect night camera, just marvelous, no noise, no grain, no LED light needed. You get what you see in reality with our eyes, maybe even better. Sadly no IBIS, I can't carry a gimbal in travelling.

I'm truly blown away at this. With no denoiser at all a micro four thirds sensor just displayed some extreme high quality imagery. This was beautiful and well put together. Been a Sony guy for a while, but Panasonic is making me wonder lately.

Its a documentary so I dont need the super quality and normally I expect to film in controlled scenarios wll lit. Im planning to film all internally at 4K 150mbps GOP 10 bit but with imaged propery li, color profile NATURAL. The delivery format would be DCP files for cinemas in 2K resolution. Im wondering since this project demands many hours filmed, would you recomend me to use an external recorder to film in prores? maybe 400mbps All intra? or you think it may be enough 4k 10 bit 150bmps GOP? What about intermediate codecs: which is your workflow and which intermediate codec do you use for editing? Do you use proxy files of low or high quality? Prores HQ, Lt? Do you edit in H264?

I used to have the GH4 with the metabones speedbooster. I tried different lens I had. Rokinon Cine, zeiss ze, and canon L . They all look fine but the Sigma art 30mm that I had really looked nice with it. All lens have their own flavor but the Sigma Art series does compliment the Panasonic GH4-5 series cameras. At least for a “ modern” look. This is just my opinion I know all this is a matter of taste.
Man! I have to say this. I have always been on the fence about the GH5 because of the horrible auto focus reviews but the GH5 produced some of the best video I've Ever Seen. It's so beautiful. ❤❤

This shouldn't be controversial, but I know it will be. Can we declare film dead yet? At least for low light (and most other applications)? C'mon, people!!! This is a $2,500 camera giving us some of the most beautiful night time footage I've ever seen. Can't really justify the purchase as I'm crazy happy with my A7sII for low light, my Gh5 for daytime 10-bit 4:2:2, and my FS7 for 4K 10-bit 60p/12-bit RAW. But this is just gorgeous to look at. And my favorite city too!!!

Man, this is crazy. This look so cinematic I couldn't believe this footage comes from such a small and cheap camera. Yes some highlights are gone, but for better results than this, you could only rent an Arri with a complete crew and go bankrupt! Bravo to you all!!!

Une question Romain, je suis allé voir le guimbal Zhiyun Crane V1 que vous conseilliez à l'époque, ainsi que les DJI actuels, et visualisé pas mal de comparatifs. Ils ont tous un problème de taille : l'oeilleton en caoutchouc bute sur le bras, empêchant la contre-plongée et la prise de vue au raz du sol. C'est redhibitoire, autant que surprenant !
Quel serait le meilleur stabilisateur selon vous à ce jour, qui accepte de compenser un Olympus 12-40 1:2.8 Pro (à ouverture constante) légèrement plus lourd qu'un Leica 12-60 2.8-4.0, et sans que ça coince à l'arrière (je ne veux pas démonter le caoutchouc) ?
Question optionnelle : stabiliser un GH5s et un Olympus 40-150 1:2.8 Pro (total 1,4 kg) avec fixation sous l'objectif 10 cm en avant du boîtier ?

You should re-render this as HDR and re-upload it. It looks good in SDR but you can tell it is just screaming for the full 10 BIT HDR treatment.
mpgxsvcd CZcams doesnt Support hdr :(

Maarioo007 actually it now does support HDR.
It was shot with the standard profile, so SDR dynamic range.
You can create HDR footage from anything. It may require more care in editing but it can be done. 10 BIT linear profiles have enough dynamic range to show benefit when rendered to HDR.
If it wasn't for the auto-focus problems, I'd buy this camera tomorrow.

Bonjour Romain, les images sont vraiment belles. J'ai le GH5s avec le 12-35 F2.8 mais je n'arrive pas à ton résultat. Tu as utiliser un denoiser ? J'ai tenté le même type de vidéo mais sur Lyon, de nuit pareil. Peut-être le Vlog à ne pas utiliser pour des vidéos de nuit ? Merci

This is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. Since the announcement of the Fuji xh-1, I've been trying to decide whether or not to buy the GH5 or the xh-1 but I'm pretty sure I just made my decision after watching this video.
