On air intakes for my car I could've spent £400 for an afe intake. I ended up buying a k&n filter for £120. Never had a problem till I did have a problem. So now Im saving up for the afe filter I could have spent £400 but now ive endup spending £520 total for like a 10hp gain. Live and learn. My wife doesn't know👍🏿
Fuck K&n I ran one for a week then went to check on it and it was like touch it and your sand man covered in dirt after just one week so I was like fuck that and put my stock intake back on till I could get an amsoil dry cone filter ordered, I only clean that filter like every 3 months and it filters better than the k&n, just doesn't attract as much dirt.

Highly recommend ktuner for any Honda/Acura people out there. Even if you have no mods, its still good to have. The ktuner v2 has a touch screen with indicators and plugs right into the obd2 port.
The only thing I've found helpful on ebay for my Mini Cooper is a black honeycomb grill. I think grills are generally pretty safe to buy most places, ebay or OEM.

My advice: take your car to autocross one day to see how it drives on dry then you’ll know how it will react better... a car on ice acts differently based on fwd rwd awd .. but there are general tips for handling over and under steer that would apply to wet driving
Route it to one of the cutouts in your bumper if you got any, I had to do just a little bit of cutting on my battery tray and I was able to route my air filter straight to the bumper... just avoid deep puddles.
A mod I did on my car are tow rings and tow hooks, but I dont just buy generic ones on wish or amazon, I research around for quality ones that serve a function over aesthetics. It's just a convenience to have them on the car or truck ready to go vs having to get out, search around the trunk, move a bunch of stuff around, removing the carpet panel. especially in sub freezing temperatures.
Best budget car mod that actually works, weight reduction. Take out the spare tire and only fill your tank halfway. Thats already a 1/10 of a second and its not even a mod.

Aging myself here, but there used to be something called the JC Whitney catalog. You could find the parts you needed, but you had to sift through pages of bolt on scoops (before 3M tape was a thing). Pretty much the same thing, but you actually had to want it enough to mail order the parts instead of impulse buying when you are picking up a new set of wipers.
So made the decision to get raceland coilovers for my nb1 and I don't understand why they get so much hate they aint that bad for my daily use it was bumpy for about a month cause brand new shocks but after that she rides smooth. And honestly I'm just pumped I ain't looking at wheel gap anymore🥵
Made my own heat shielding for my intake cuz it had none when I got it and got my iat temp 7° within outside air temp even at drive thu no more then 10° difference
The only thing I did to my 2019 Mazda 3 was remove my air intake box to remove the air intake resonator and seal the hole then put the whole thing back in with the resonator attached but still sealed lol. It made the car have a slight upgrade of intake sound since it’s so damn quite that car.
Put a pod filter on my Magna purely to make it louder, I knew I shouldn’t do it, I knew it’d be bad for the car, but I did it anyway. It drove so much better when I put the stock air box back in before selling it

K&N is diped in oil thus the sand its doing a better job only down side is more frequent maintenance needed.
Meanwhile in sweden everyone just gets the 15 dollar Biltema conefilter, works good enough for my 940 turbo

Just bought a 2021 VW Jetta and found an APC cold air intake with the heat shield and a filter sock. That should fix the issues mentioned.
