Also, if you plug in a USB-C charger to the back of your laptop dock, the USB-C at the front of the dock to your laptop will charge it as well i.e only one cable to your Macbook to charge and display to the monitor 👌
If you grab a MagSafe mount for your phone you can use the iPhone as a webcam now with zero cables. It's been my favorite for a while. My is slim and I can hide it on the back of the monitor when I don't need it.
If you don't want the cable of the camera showing, why not turn the dock station to the other side? Also a smart plug will allow you to stop the power to your laptop without disconnect the cable. Also maybe you don't need this because you are near a window, but a lamp above my monitor makes a difference for me.
i tried but i couldn't turn to the other side because of the number of USB ports available :') one being used for my keyboard/mouse, one for webcam, one for external speakers. Thank you for the smart plug recommendation i'm not sure I understand though, can you explain that? and I opted out of a monitor lamp just for personal preference for now but who knows!
@@JennaHong oh, I see, I don't have the speakers and that's the extra port you need. I have a smart surge protector strip, that shows in an app every outlet in the strip so I can turn on/off everyone separately, not sure if you need the whole strip or just a plug, but they work the same way. I have one from Nexxt. Hope I explain myself, if not, feel free to ask.
Your desk setup is so aesthetically pleasing ❤ I am still working on mine but it is not so easy when your partner takes it over in the afternoon ;) I'm also using the MX3 mouse and I was wondering if you use the option to customize the buttons? Take care :)

I put a wooden block below I got from a hardware store below the desk! I used cardboard for a while until I got a block
