this game was the true measure of the West Indies team, and they're in much much better shape than I had feared.
I think Bashir's doing great, but it's MUCH too soon to say "It's scary how good he is". He's made a nice start for England, but that's it for now.
How long will it take to work him out? Australians need an over

Tight until the final 4th day session. Lots of positives for West Indies if they can capitalise on them and retain their best Test players. Bashir’s was superb in the final session. Wonder line for an offie. Shamar has to go up to 10 at least. Re Mark Wood, does he have a slower ball?

If Mark Wood is going to play and he’s bowling 90mph plus then he should get the new ball.
Wood lacks control with new ball...we saw it in India...Jaisawal thrashed Wood specially in Hyderabad and Dharamshala...
Brook failed spectacularly in india . He destroyed our sunrisers season . Dude can't play decent spinners let alone the great ones . Jamie smith's defensive technique against spin looks dodgy as well
I’ve always been flabbergasted that Wood doesn’t open the bowling.
If a bloke is bowling up to 94mph then while the batsmen are still finding their feet and rhythm they should be facing him.
It’s ludicrous that they’re not.
Wood has played 35 tests and averages 31 so yes it's pretty fair to say he needs a bit more skill
When he runs through a team hes in it for that not everythibg abt average

Good but not great....i couldnt see him playing a innings like gooch at headingly. He needs too knw the difference between durabillity an short term gains, by cracking a few 4 s an 6s.....
