    What he does not say is that once you build the wing and attempt to install the wing, you need to trim down the underside of the leading edge 1/8" approximately 2" back from the leading edge, or sand down the wing saddle at the leading edge. If you don't you can't bolt the wing down because of design flaw. The trailing edge of the wing sticks up and if you attempt to push it down it puts stress on the front rod that's installs in the leading edge. Also watch on the receiver ready kits. My servos were glued and it prevented them from working, I had to break them free or it would have stripped the installed servo gears. I had to replace the control horn because the design puts the horn to far forward away from the hinge line for the elevator. The plans do not show removing covering at the rudder and stabilizer, If you don't do this you will be gluing the elevator and rudder to the covering only. Any type of speed will make them flutter and you will lose your control surfaces. After these modifications the Kunai is a great flying airplane / glider...

      I would like to add always go over your product before you use it for the first time. It lets you catch any manufacturer defects or broken components. It allows you to make the needed tuning tweaks or you to contact the manufacturer with Les Hassle and allows for easier replacement because you did not use the product and it crashed. Then having the whole well it because you crashed it or was it in fact a defect. Saves you the customer a lot of headache.

      My Kunai's wing fits like a glove. No issues at all. You must have got a bad'n ?

    It's a shame 99% of plane reviewers don't know how to properly demo a GLIDER. I saw your video, no info on glide ratio feeling, thermals, if it lifts well in gentle lifts etc etc. Another Glider demo as a plane.

    who would change to futaba radio just to fly this model...pretty nuts they say such a thing..using dx8 tx with a 6 ch lemon rx fits even better and just as reliable imo..

    "Receiver shrink wrapped and put inside the wing", you put the receiver in the fuselage. The fuselage is the long skinny thing the wing attaches to.

    Thanks for the video. What is the flying time on a 3S-1300Mah battery....and can you put any bigger battery in that fuselage?

    • @Vortexhobbies
      @Vortexhobbies  Před 6 lety +1

      The flight time is about 8 minutes on a 3s 1300mah maybe a minute or two more depending on how aggressive you fly. The recommended battery is a 3s lipo 850 to 1300mah.

    Hey bud great video I just came across this video because my neighbor gave me that exact same plane, it has the propeller but it doesn't have any electronics and I don't have a transmitter so what transmitter do you recommend I get? I just bought a drone and it says that I can bined up to 3 drones to that transmitter the drone came with but am I able to use that transmitter for this plane and what electronics do you recommend I use for this plane and what lipo battery? I don't know anything about planes I'm just getting into it so I wanna get this plane up in the air.

      That is a difficult difficult question to answer not knowing the manufacturer/ specs of your current transmitter. I would say if you're just getting into The Hobby and you're in our area please see us and we will get you set up with what you need to get it in the air. If you're not in our area I would say walk into your local hobby shop and consult with them.

      @Vortexhobbies  Před 3 lety

      Should be no problem as long as you install a spectrum receiver with the right amount of available channels
