The same way Tresemme Naturals formula change (coughboughtoutcough) didn't work with my hair texture is the same way many shea moisture products with new names and/or formulas didn't work on my hair. I'm not saying none of their products work for me, but it has gotten to the point where most of the products I used are being pulled and reformulated. I agree that this product wouldn't work for a lot of textures, either. However, hair doesn't just stop at 1-4C. Density, thickness, porosity etc. All make up one complete hair type and those factors are extremely important when looking for the best products. Green Beauty Channel is a scientific based and black woman ran channel that goes into detail, and for anyone with fine, low- medium density, normal-high porosity 4C(a/b combination) hair [I just say fine 4C for short rotf], I use Kinky Tresses hair products. They're based out of North Carolina and have a full site running. I think her CZcams channel was KinkyCurlyTop . Or coily. Idk. I digress. It's 4 in the morning.
Agree with the coconut & glycerin but my hair loves aloe vera, It's never been so moisturized. But yes coconut & glycerin is in everything, annoying. I've given up on frizz, that's what glycerin does to my hair I dont get any serious issues like others but my scalp hates coconut. My scalp was on fire when I tried it, thought I didn't wash my hair good enough so I tried it again in small amounts and made sure it didnt touch my scalp, same results. I avoid it at all cost, mostly 🤷🏾♀️😫🙄

Thank you Tracee, for being mixed with looser hair and catering to ALL hair types or at least trying. I love how you expressed that “your hair penetrates water, even differently than mine,” and you then alluded to another woman in the room when you said that. I appreciate this because you know mixed hair, can be different than someone with fully black hair. Yes, there are overlaps and anomalies… however to be black and white, (no pun intended) yes, there is in fact a difference. And I appreciate this because sometimes mixed women think they represent ALL black hair textures and it’s just NOT the case. We need to come to an understanding that mixed hair is typically looser, and able to use products catered to white people because it is similar in regards to texture AT TIMES, even when the pattern is different. At the very least mixed women can make products that aren’t catered to them work… while fully black women with type 4 can’t or can BARELY make it work.

Tracy this is great. I have 6/7 ethic grandchildren, their hair is quite different from each other's & mine. Mine is straw straight with little to no wave, so I don't have a clue what is involved in doing their hair. My daughter's figured it out. Their hair is 140° different than mine. One is waves to soft curls, the other has more curls than you - they are half Arabic & have that texture hair. Their partners are at least half black, so the grandkids have hair in a 180° completely different spectrum. So glad you have created a product for them. Right on! You go girl! You keep on being you. Admire your talent & attitude. (I'm in Diana's age group.)

I purchased the conditioner (heavy) and leave in. It worked great and the consistency was thick and easy to apply. No residue and my hair felt soft and moisturized. I have to try the oil next. ❤ I really like it.

I purchased the conditioner (heavy) and leave in. It worked great and the consistency was thick and easy to apply. No residue and my hair felt soft and moisturized. I have to try the oil next. ❤ I really like it.
