Thank you for the feedback! PATTERN products are free of cyclic silicones (D4 & D5) complying with EU standards (these 2 types of silicones are believed by certain EU regulators to potentially be bad for the environment). We formulated our products being very conscious of the particular silicones we were choosing and at which levels in order to provide the best curly hair care experience without weighing down the hair. Our Product Development team continues to work with chemists to stay on top of new raw materials and technologies as we move towards silicone-free formulas in the future that don’t compromise on performance 💛
Thanks for watching! You’ve got thousands of us excited to support with just a few slight adjustments! 🥰❤️🌀
😍😍😍😍 this comment is everything
@@BiancaReneeToday I love you. Keep telling them how you really feel.....lol
I love this
@@BiancaReneeToday I love that your unapologetic truth! You get companies to listen and make necessary changes! Go Bianca! Take note Pattern Beauty, we're waiting to support you!
I tried silicone free but honestly it didn’t work. It is TOO humid where I live. Those silicones help so much in this climate so each person just use what works for you.
Letta510 I’m not mad at you.
Same I have very dense thick 4b/4c hair and my hair tangles wayyy too much. Products with silicones give me enough slip to detangle my hair. I try to minimise how many products I use that do have silicones tho.
Letta510 I live in Florida and silicone free works great! Glycerin is the ingredient that gives frizz
Reanna Richardson If you clarify regularly, you’re good.
Girl yes. Me too.
As chemist I just wanna day that silicone isn’t necessarily bad for hair. Silicone has two chains a water loving chain(hydrophilic) and oil loving chain (lipophillic) so that means the oil loving coats the hair but it washes off. Surfactants also aren bad the problem is after care after you wash you must replenish and seal moisture
Joy Thank you so much! I feel like the naturals need to be re-educated.
sunwillcomeup - there is a lot of scaremongering and false information out there. Some advice is good and others not so good.
Your comment about the silicone makes since others have said the shampoo really feels like its moisturizing while in but as soon as they rinse, its not!
Yes silicone washes off but you often need sulfates to do so. That's why they can be such a problem.
surfactants are def a prob for many of us. Everyone's hair does not react the same way to being stripped and then "replenished". Also, if you have sensitive skin...very drying.
A cyclic silicone is basically a silicone that is in a common shape (such as a triangle, square, hexagon, etc.)Cyclic structures are very strong and do not break apart easily. Regular silicones are in lines meaning that they are straight chains of atoms attached to each other- these chains can be broken with little effort. I'm currently in Survey of Chemistry 2 (organic chemistry) in college right now so that's how I know a lil about this. Hope this helped!
Awesome!! Thank you for being so knowledgeable! ❤️❤️ Keep it up love!
@@mearrafranklin8711 Keep sharing all your knowledge! Didn't think you came off as harsh at all.
@@mearrafranklin8711 also in orgo and agree with your answer!
Not all cyclic compounds are stable structures. Five and six membered rings are the lost stable (especially when aromatic), but rings with less than five members or more than six have a considerable amount of ring strain and can be broken relatively easily.
Take out the silicone's and lower the price a bit. A little expensive for us ordinary folks. Thank you for the honest review Bianca.
Tamara Jenkins They could make the products 99 cents there will still be a black wanting it cheaper.
TiMalice2009 20 dollars for a shampoo is expensive...25 dollars for a conditioner is expensive...WITH SILICONES?! Nah there’s so many better options that perform even better for half the price, with NO silicone
hi bye Who’s stopping you?
@@TiMalice2009 "There will be a black wanting it cheaper". WOW.... That was about as ignorant as a comment could get.
Naptually Beautiful Nope!
Silicones not a deal breaker for me
Me neither!
Me either! Lol
It takes a lot of guts to be this bold when you know you really would love to work with a company like this! Ok then girl! 👏🏾♥️
I love how even though you don't love all the ingredients in the products you're still sending nothing but love and positivity
Thank you! That’s exactly what I was going for 🥰❤️
When Bianca Renee talks about a product that's when you get the REAL Verdict. Clicked this video so fast👀👂🏽
Tam Kam you are absolutely right! I did the same thing!
Ain’t that the truth???!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰

It doesnt help they are losing orders either. You have silicones and we are losing orders???
So.....Tracee may not care about silicones like the rest of us...
That neck role tho 😂
“I don’t want AAAAANYYYY silicone in my products.”

You should have your own brand of curly hair, will be perfect 😍
Daniela Morera for HER hair.
TiMalice2009 so true!
facts!!!! SHe knows her stuff and I am sure we would all be eager to give you our money!
YEAH !!
I really appreciate @PATTERN responding. So many people (with no knowledge of chemistry for raw materials as well as man made ones) give silicones such a bad name. Yes, your hair can thrive without them just as it can thrive WITH them. Same thing with sulfates, but to each their own. People also see alcohols but fail to realize that there are other ingredients that work with it for softening or moisturizing properties. As for price point, expect to pay even more if the company moves to completely natural/biodegradable ingredients. It's funny/sad that you have to pay out more for healthier things, lol! I happily purchased the products with no fear (the air we breathe is more problematic than her ingredients list 😂😭😔). I did leave that brush behind though... judging by the look on her face while using it, I'm glad I did 🤣
B. Richee okayyy, everybody’s suddenly a chemist. I need to see some high school report cards with A’s in chemistry before taking all of these scientific proclamations seriously.
@@lethalmaxim Right!!!!! That's part of the reason why I scaled back with CZcamsrs. There are very few whom I still watch and take seriously. I'm no chemist, but I took enough of it to earn my Bachelor's in Biology 😂 I remember when cowashing and water only washing were a biggie - now so many of those same individuals are converting from those methods bc of scalp and shedding issues 😂 I'm 30 and have been "natural" my entire life so all of this brouhaha over products is comical to me.
B. Richee that part!!! And I don’t mean the part in my hair.
What I'm seeing on CZcams and in these comments are a LOT of misinformation and fear. The knowledgeable are ignored and the ignorant grow in number. Before you poo poo and dismiss knowledgeable advice or information do some homework. Please note, I'm not saying this in a nasty or mean tone, just frustrated because people, myself included have done their homework and tested out products and methods themselves. I've spent over 15 years researching personal care ingredients and creating my own products and since I've been on CZcams (late 2018) I'm horrified at some of the things people do to their hair in ignorance. Let's research before we put down ingredients or methods. Everybody is unique.
V. F. Edge ....and you’re still NOT a hair scientist, trichologist, or chemist, but thank you for your “service.” You sound like an Anti-Vaxxer, but for shampoo. Ma’am stop.
Remove the silicones Tracee, we freaking adore you!♡♡♡
I greatly appreciate your honesty! So many people do things just to please others but I'm thankful you look out for your following base. Love you Bianca!
I’ve been sleeping under a rock 😩 I’ve never heard of these products!
Thank you for your honesty! A lot of people have been jumping on the bandwagon because we love Tracee, but these ingredients AINT IT!
When she puts on her glasses, she looks like the teacher from Recess. Beautiful woman.
So grateful for the education on ingredients but let me tell you a quick story ; went to a store with my daughter and looked in the mirror and felt bad my hair did not look good and the sale lady said you still waiting for your daughter is there something I can help you with I said yes my hair needs something she got a few good products but I decided to try the leave in conditioner pattern by Ms .Tracee Ross wow ;wow ;wow it would take me three different product to get that look that the pattern gave me. Ms.Tracee Ross I am hooked on your product I am 53 years old I have used products I am totally in love with it , it makes my hair feel so good its naturally curly and we all know you need good ingredients for curly hair .
Thank you for your honest review. I have seen a few more reviews and some of them are not realistic......but that's why I watch you! I love Traci too and was so excited to hear of her launching a new product line, but was disappointed when I checked out the product ingredients. I heard these products have been in production for 10 years, and no stylers!! Really!! Thanks for looking out for us. You are the best!!!!!
I'm here for the truth! I know you're gonna keep it real. Only the intense conditioner is silicone free
Thanks for your honesty Bianca. I know that I can always count on you to keep it real with us and I appreciate that girl!!! Hope Tracee comes out with stylers that are Bianca Renee approved!!!!
Amazing review! My dad told me that she had created a product line because he thought I may be interested and now I am less based on the silicone situation! Your reviews rock Bianca! Thanks for the honesty!!
I will be trying these and don't mind the silicones. My hair has actually been better since I reintroduced them into my routine, no more rough splitting ends, the moisture stays in my hair for days without having to remoisturize and the slip for detangling is unmatched. Everyone's hair is different
I love your honest reviews! Thank you ❤️
Thank you for this video! I'm so glad you reviewed the new launch of the products as well! I'll have to look at the new products and try them
I use this product several times and I've got amazing results my hair has been so curly I've never thought it could be as early as it is now and no damage done to my hair I'm not a woman of color but I do have nieces that are little ladies of color and it works very good on our hair so I'm so happy and lucky forTracy for the making us this product I honestly don't know what I would do if I did not have this product
Finally an influencer that is not afraid to give am honest review on CG products ingredients ❤️❤️❤️
Bianca!!!!!! Thank you for this!!!! I trust you soooo much when it comes to products for my hair & I definitely appreciate you!
This is the reason why I have been following you since I stumbled over one of your videos about 3 years ago. If is not Bianca approved you don't buy it! ❤😝
Patriang Arias No one person is the authority for me.
I'm 4a with fine hair and I like the Intensive condish best, though it's meant for 4c tighter textures (I bought the travel-size 3-pack conditioner set to try all 3). I'm also high porosity; silicones can help hi-po hair by forming a barrier over raised cuticles (I know you already know that) and some products with silicones work well on my hi-po hair (Nexxus Keraphix condish comes to mind). But I hope you get that meeting! 😉🙌🏾
Bianca I felt just like you when I saw the Ingredients! I love Tracee and I was super excited that she created a natural hair line! I’m keeping watch on this in case she changes the formula or creates a new product. Thank you Bianca for your honesty always. I appreciate you more than you know!
I think the reason the Pattern brush wasn't working is because it's the same kind of brush as the Denman, and the Denman isn't a detangling brush, it's a curl defining brush. The Pattern bush has very stiff, rigid bristles, which should tell you immediately not to use it for detangling, you should always use a brush with flexible bristles to detangle hair.
I appreciate your honest review because I was almost going to purchase some after watching the curl twins! Thank you!
Yayyyyy💙 couldn’t wait for this review!!!
Thanks for the video Bianca, you're great! Love your videos!
I sooo appreciate you being honest!
love it! we do appreciate how honest you are and yaaas i hoping for a future chabge in their formulas so everyone can use them ♡ thank you guuurl
Thanks for reviewing them so fast and efficiently and thanks for being honest. I thought is was a well done video and you really come in clutch when I'm thinking of buying a hair product
I’ve been waiting for this review🙌🏽! Thank you for your honest review as always! 😍❤️
Hopefully Pattern Beauty does come out with a styler soon to go with the shampoo and conditioner
Thank you for sharing the real deal on this line! I love Tracey but not more than my curls. I don’t believe she has any clue about ingredients especially since the alcohols are in the products. I’ll purchase when she gets rid of the sulfates, silicones, and isopropyl alcohol. Great review!!
I think Bianca said it was near the bottom, so it was probably used to carry or break down another of the ingredients nearby on the list. If it was the first or second ingredient, then I would be concerned. HTH.
Been waiting for this video since I heard about the release of the products 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you so much for your honesty and your swiftness 🤣🤣 with the review of this line.
I really appreciated your honesty! Like serious because I’m one of those subscribers that’s been trying to do my best with my curly hair and Ive worked to hard to start putting bad or unnecessary things in it 💯
Thanks for ur honesty! This was a very classy product review. I appreciated how you focused on the positives of the product line!🤗
That is why we sub, you’re give us the real on stuff! Good video and it is nice that they offer bigger sizes, NOW ,clean up the ingredients and we’ll really have something good in our hands
When detangling with a brush I would do smaller sections and shorter gentler strokes, I almost had a heart attack at 10:00
Girl, do you not see her curls? I’m sure she knows how to detangle her hair! Lol
Her hair is pretty thin when wet so I don’t think smaller sections would be a solution
I know right... ! I was screaming internally!!!! start at the bottom and work your way up...
Nakia Sutton yes girl! That’s how I do it 👏🏼
Bianca your eyeshadow's lookin' suuuuper cute in this video 😃😃😄😄
I know I was thinking the same thing!
Need to see how to keep eye makeup on, even in the shower!! BR is genius!!
Couldn’t wait to hear a review on these products since i found out them....you ROCK Curlfriend💞💞💞💞💞
Please continue to keep it real! You are appreciated! Loved this video😊
I have been waiting for you to review this product....Thank you for your honest review.
You’d be surprised how many shampoos actually have silicone
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Preeach
Yep and for low po hair, ya gotta be careful with that.
I think brands added silicone on their shampoo for shine (fake) on the hair.
We talk about silicones, sulfates, parabens, etc..BUT have NO problems coloring hair. Now let's talk about those chemicals and the damage it's doing it.
Carla M. Okayyyyy. Keep that same energy.
@@lethalmaxim I will, because my energy is honest. I'm natural, but just as some knock certain products due to a silicone they turn a blind eye to the much worse chemicals that they put in their hair. Deflecting to my energy (which by the way you would know nothing about) is just another way of not addressing the hypocrisy. :)
Carla M. I’m agreeing with you ma’am. Lol
@@lethalmaximOh my goodness. I'm so extremely sorry. I hope you can accept my apology, because I interpreted your comment totally the wrong way. :(
Excitedddddd for this!!!!
Thank you!!! Love love love you for this bc I had so many messages about this line and I didn't look into yet. Thanks to you I don't have too lol. They are way out if my price range lol and now I'm not as tempted! 😙
Bianca I would say different products work for different hair types. Some people may like these the way they are.
Thank you for all the reviews. I always pay attention and base most of my purchases on them.
Thank you Bianca for giving an honest review!
Silicone in the shampoo ?!?!? WHYYYYYYYY 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It helps with slip and moisture retention
Jasmine W why does shampoo need slip and moisture it's supposed to cleanse the scalp and buildup
@@tess6047 moisturizing shampoos are everywhere and good for people with dry hair. not everyone likes the squeaky stripped feeling so silicones in shampoo help
EXACTLYYYY how am I supposed to have a hot girl Autumn with silicones?!
Jasmine W but can get moisture from shea or coconut not just silicone
When you said you were doing a review on these products and I found out about the silicones I was like 😳😳😳 is Bianca about to put silicones in her hair?!
So glad you keep it real. Love the review, I hope Tracee sees this and takes what you said into consideration.
That's why I love you Ms Bianca Renee. You are the absolute best.
Your opinion is enlightening. As a grandma I was very interested in your comments for my ethnic grandchildren.
I don't think I need to be that strict about ingredients. Especially if the silicones are water-soluble or in the last 5 ingredients. A nice low sulphate or sulphate free shampoo will get it out easily.
HiThereLindsey - I think it varies for folks, for most it’s probably not an issue but I find they build up in my hair especially easy and I’m not about the flaky life so I avoid silicones as much as possible
This mindset astounds me; Black women will spend $200-$800 or more on a weave, lace-front or other, on braided or extensions- BUT making sure the hair growing from your head receives the best product available using ingredients to promote health, shine, growth as well as making sure product are non-cancerous after prolonged use.........
“I don’t think I need to be that strict about ingredients”............ I just can’t....will never understand this mindset.....😶😳
This products is very expensive to not have the ingredients on point.
thank you someone with logic knows how to use silicones appropriately. these comments about it not being bad are so odd I saw someone say tresemme was a "good" brand lmao with all that liquid plastic and fake properties yeah right.
like if you wouldnt melt ceram wrap onto your hair why would you buy something with that ingredient?
You got it right.
Thank you for being so honest!
To see if a product is CG friendly use the website Curls bot and copy paste ingredients and it will tell you if it’s CG friendly
Styled Hairology Helpful!

Bianca, have you tried the honey hydrate LIC?
Thank you. I 100% trust that you will always give us the real.
The video I’ve been waiting for.
Thanks for keeping it real Bianca!!!
Thank you so much for this video! May you please do a video with your recent favorite products, including shampoo/conditioner, stylers, hair masks and oils?
Thanks Biancs Renee, Great honest review. Now I have a much better idea what will work on my hair before I try the products. I love your channel and very educational. Thanks, Gigi
Always coming with the realness!
Telling it like it is!!! Thanks Bianca!!! 😍
I was waiting for you to make this video. I looked through all your videos to see what type of products I should be using in my hair. I Love my natural curly hair. I don’t need for my hair to be stripped away by these products that’s supposed to do the right thing. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to even make this video. I swear your curls are one of a kind💚❤️💕🤩
never clicked on a video so fast. i have been waiting for your review!!
Yessss I’m soooo glad you reviewed this cause I was sooo bumbed it was sold out the samples 🤣🤣
Thank you for your thorough and honest review
I will say that I hear what Bianca is saying regarding that the leave in conditioner may not classify as a styler. However, I actually used the leave in as my only styler (and I’m a girl who loves to throw 2-4 products in my hair at once for styling) and I was thoroughly impressed with the results. The leave in conditioner has a very light consistency that is buildable depending on how much hold and moisture you want. I think it would have been worth a shot to see how this product would have worked.
The one I’ve been waiting for!!! 💛
Same, she be giving the honest honest truth
Love yours honesty!! Thank God I waited! Pattern, PLEASE remove all silicones , sulfates & parabens!!!!!
That's not fair to those who don't have a problem with it

Thank you for the review. My daughter bought one of the conditioners and the brush. Not sure her thoughts yet.
I agree with you that a styler is needed.
Thank you for this Review! 💛
I love your constructive review. The one thing I don’t get is why the Shampoo has silicones, Where a vast majority of really good shampoos Don’t. 🤷🏽♀️
Anyone feel free to correct me if I am mistaken. From what I understand silicones are an inexpensive way to add shine and slip to give the illusion that the hair is healthier right after using the product, so you see them in more prominent in products where you don't see things like coconut oil, olive oil, or shea. Any cheaper end hair care product that makes a claim to "instant" silky smoothness probably has a silicone in it. I suspect its more common in shampoo than we would expect.
It is really just an instant gratification ingredient. Many people notice the difference in texture after a few silicone-free washes and it alarms them because their hair less shiny and smooth. So I suspect that product placement and focus groups indicate that the presence of silicone is favored by consumers.
It's possible that they wanted the shampoo to have slip to help avoid breakage
SSNUTHIN great point! I think the natural hair community is somewhat obsessed with slip. I don't really need my shampoo to have a lot of slip, but some naturals want every product to have it. I agree that silicones give the appearance of shiny, moisturized hair, but if your hair is prone to buildup and you don't clarify your hair, you'll likely experience dryness over time.
