Pretty much agree on all those and the MKI Focus is the cream of the crop.
Don't fancy the 7 series The 4.0 and 4.4 V8s, I've seen too many with external conrods for comfort and what's with that slammed suspension? It'll ride like a plank!
TVRs are widowmakers, they have far too much power for the brakes and suspension. You have to treat them with respect or they WILL kill you! Doesn't stop me liking them, but I wouldn't OWN another TVR. Build quality is poor to absent, trim fit, negligible, electrics iffy (for the same reason as the Scimitar) For a lot less you can have a V8 converted TR7, a very undervalued car ATM.
Quite like the uprated 205 but £3k is too much, an original 1.9GTi in that condition, yeah sure, but that mongrel? £1500 in my book! Personal taste I know, but I really LIKE that bonnet with all the louvres!
Some fair points made! I do have a bit of a soft spot for those old 7 series 🫣 I've driven a Chimera but never owned a TVR so that's one for the bucket list!
