Ann Arbor did OK during 08 cause we weren't tied to The Big Three, Ann Arbor's economy is very diverse, from education, to medical, to specialty manufacturing of all sorts, to logistics, culture & arts, as well as some big corporate HQ's. We have more big 3 management than we have big 3 union employees here. Funny, detroit is motor city but A2 is famous for its walkability (for an american city) and it's only improving.
