- Damien's version of Sia's 'Chandelier' is taken from the benefit album 'Songs for Australia'.
'Songs for Australia' was put together by Julia Stone in 2020, to raise money for various organisations, following the recent Australian bush fires. It features cover versions of Australian songs by various artists from around the world.

Feeling sad for the people who havent yet discovered Damien Rice and his magic.
Been listening to his music for over 10 years. But all of the songs are old, he is not releasing anything new for years... not sure what's wrong with him

It's nothing wrong with him. He rather releases masterpieces each 6, 8 years than deliver any shit every 12 months.

Most people look at me like I'm not okay and need help when i play Damien Rice. And i play his songs a lot. I'm totally fine, just appreciating amazing art. His songs with Lisa as backup are the best imo.

It's been 5 years since i discovered this man after reading the book called "ÖFA". ÖFA means The Man Who Whispers Death. Wow it's really amazing to see how quick the time goes by and we don't even realize it. It just feels like it was yesterday.

I will never forget the first time I heard Damien. His music made me feel encouraged to pursue music myself, as a clarinettist to be exact, for 9 years in school and through college. I'll never forget the first and only time I saw Damien live; it was on the faded fantasy tour. And I've seen a lot of musicians I like, but seeing Damien perform was something I honestly cannot describe. It was straight fucking magic and evoked emotions stronger than I ever thought possible from music. Its been at least 10 years since I first heard a song from Damien Rice, but damn if hearing a new song from him doesn't bring the magic like it did the first time I ever heard him. I'm an engineer now, but it's things like this that make me pull out the old clarinet at least once a month just to make sure I still remember. And I remember it well
He's truly mesmerising live. I saw him in 2003 in London. I was 15. I knew he was incredibly gifted, a master of his craft. It was epic.

I was blessed to see Damien Rice play live at Hammersmith Apollo back in 2007... It was truly one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life... He's a true artist who shunned the commercial success to find his own free spirit in this broken world... Finding happiness in the simple wonders of humanity in faraway beautiful places far from the maddening crowd where anonymity gives you a little peace.

This was already an exceptionally written song.., which I've loved over the years. For my all time favourite artist to cover it, with such a haunting and raw rendition, well, it's phenomenal.
