  • Today Dave and Kelly are taking a look at the All Terrain Nation 2021 Jeep Gladiator and 2021 Ford Bronco. While this is not a true apples to apple as the trim levels are completely different, We wanted to walk around both similar off road vehicle and point out key items that make them special.
    The 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch package has every option a off roader would need. Front and rear locking differentials, 35 inch Goodyear Wrangler tires the powerful 2.7L Twin Turbo making 330 horse power and 400 foot pounds of torque and comes standard with the 10 speed transmission. As tested MSRP 54,615
    The Gladiator has all the cool features of the Wrangler yet has a truck bed. Our Gladiator is in the Willys trim. You get a few Rubicon features like rock rails and larger 32 inch Firestone Destination MT tires but based on the Sport trim this keeps the cost down vs the Mojave or Rubicon trim levels. The Jeep comes standard with the 3.6 litter non Turbo v6 8 speed transmission. As tested MSRP 47,625
    Let the show know if either of these off road toys are on your list to buy

    I have been a Ford guy for decades and was really excited when Ford announced the new Bronco. Put my deposit down, converted it to an order and then... crickets. The years went by, the dealer would call and say "We need to convert your order to the next model year". I had seen examples of the Gladiator around and liked the look, decided to go take a test drive. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it drove, how solid it felt. I placed an order for a full Monty Rubicon with all the bells and whistles. Low and behold the Gladiator came in exactly as ordered in just under 6 weeks, no hassle with "if you drop some options it will come in sooner". Apples and oranges for sure, but I find a pickup, even a small one, to be more useful than an SUV. Been very happy with the Gladdy, especially after I installed a set of 35's on it, looks quite a bit better. Oh, and I just got a call from the Ford dealer, they want to convert my Bronco order to a 2023, still have no idea when it might be built, it might be a 2024. I canceled the order.

    Great video, both rigs look good but I’m a Jeep guy myself. The one thing I’ve been really disappointed about was the endless comparisons with the Jeep And vice versa to the point where most of the people I’ve seen act like you haftoo choose one or the other so it was refreshing to see this video showing love to both.

      Thank you for watching.. We love both for different reason. Our job as reviewers should be to present the truck or SUV and allow the audience to choose which is right for them.
      There should not be a line drawn in the sand :-)

    Had a 22 Gladiator Mojave hard top with Hotheads head liners, on GY 35s. Now a 24 Black Diamond Sasquatch pack (35s) with factory hard top/factory sound deadening. We will drive 100s of miles a day with much of that off road to camp or explore. Don't let anyone kid you, the Bronco is noticeably quieter inside, even though we put the aftermarket headliners in the Jeep.
    Never had, or felt a death wobble in the Jeep; I believe that's more of a Wrangler thing.
    Love them both honestly!

    Great review and much appreciated. I am on the fence between a Bronco Badlands and a Gladiator Mojave. I have had two JK Wranglers and the first thing I noticed when I test drove the Bronco was just what you both said - the on-road ride is just so much better. I am now deciding how much that nice ride is worth vs having a pickup box.

    honestly I was originally looking for a Bronco and my Dad has a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and said to look at the Gladiators.. so I did and I ended up getting a altitude one. I am so so happy. I ride in my buddies Bronco and like it too. You can’t go wrong with either. Something about the aesthetics of the gladiator tho. 🤤

    Another problem with the gladiator is that Jeep made its wheelbase longer making it worse as an offroader and its not powerful enough to be considered a heavy duty pickup truck since the 3.6L Pentastar V6 is the only engine option. The towing capacity of the gladiator is around 4000lbs meanwhile from the sister Company at RAM a 1500 with the same engine can tow around 6000lbs, and costs much less.

    • @clubracer6
      @clubracer6 Před rokem
