Great points. I am a permanent resident of Japan, but for my wife's brain tumor, I actually am doing the reverse. Availability of 24 x 7 nursing staff in Japan is impossible with long wait times. In India nursing staff is more of a reality. Same is true with UK. For clinical trials, yes I will get her to Japan, but otherwise India for Quality of Life and family support

What is the reason we do not have such a standardised protocol in India ?. Why can’t Indian doctors and medical associations get together to draft a standard guideline and protocol ?.
There are some standardized protocols in India as well. However, they have some limitations, eg. hospitals may disagree about which protocol to follow. Also, they are generally updated only once in 3-4 years while American protocols are updated 3-4 times every year.

Sir, My father was detected ca head pancreatic in April 2022. ERCP conduceted in april 2022. Post checkups, doctors, decided to go for whipples procedure but said surgery was aborded after transaction and we were informed that surgery cannot be possible. Dacomatinib ulcers are a common side effect. Your oncologist will have to help you manage it. If severe/persistent she may need to reduce her dose.
