TATA will be having more than 18 tonnes. Leyland, 6 wheeler has lesser tonnage. So, IRRELEVANT comparison. with equal tonnage n equal models, TATA gives a better throw in ghats

Once upon a time TATA (Benz) vehicle had more power than leyland(|British Leyland) but today Leyland taken technoledge from Hinna Motors Japan itis power more than to TATA vehicle same time TATA or Leyland are not Indian Tech. both are the autotech. one from German and leylland England Tech.

In the early 80s I used to drive there were no power steering n 16 year old n with constant mesh double clutch gearbox I could cover 500 kms in whole day total gross weight 16 tons Khandala Katraj Belgaum ghats were fun to drive only Khandala I used crawl gear the rest were okay for 2nd gear on half accelerator the vehicle would not overheat but drivers they used full throttle but speed would be the same n engine would overheat in spite of fuel pump governors taking over wish I get a chance again still hold the license

Ok. Traditionally Ashok Leyland engines have more torque than Tata ones and are specifically targeted towards hilly terrain. These engines are powerful but very noisy at the same time. Tata engines are a bit less powerful but they are better in NVH

Nice Video. Just a thought but. Watched this full. Felt like a wrong comparison. At 5:44 a "Ashok Ley Land Dost" honked asking for side to overtake and zipped past @ 5:47 would you say, 'Dost' showing power to 'LeyLand Driver' ? Haha..! Tata was loaded to the brim with more tonnage, while this LeyLand was not even equal; that's not to say these are bad but this is a wrong comparison. I've seen lot of Tatas zip past and smoked LLs both in the ghats and highways!

Its not compare video Tata was overload 12 wheel, and I think you have 6 wheel, I saw your gear shifting, you change the gear 2 to 3 easily in hill Ares, one turn you cut the 2 gear,also I like Ashok Leyland but both are good
