Cool Tool Alert: The Milwaukee 1" Tube Cutter at Last Best Tool (and a danger tool alert!)

The Milwaukee 1" Tube Cutter cut a lot of tubes this summer during a major gardening expansion. But the tool was already showing wear from plumbing jobs and other various cutting tasks. And that earned its place in the Cool Tools.
But just because its red and says Milwaukee on it doesn't mean its good. For instance, here's an early Milwaukee non-contact voltage tester that I believe is downright dangerous.

Dude, I started using cut ring sections out of upinor pex tubing for using on drip irrigation fittings, using my Milwaukee pex expander tool

If you look at the front of them cutters the blade sticks out. Whats that for?

That’s actually meant to cut a cold exapansion ring off of a pex tube or fitting if you expand it and put it on, they’re impossible to take off unless you cut them. That small portion of blade that sticks out is the same exact depth as the cold expansion rings so you don’t score the fitting and ruin it.
