- Cycling in Prince Edward County (PEC) is one of Ontario’s best destinations for both road and gravel cycling and bike touring. I have been cycling the county roads for five years and I enjoy the diversity of roads, scenic views, back country roads and trails. In the county you have many options to cycle through the well renowned Sandbanks Provincial Park that offers fantastic sand dunes and beaches. PEC also boasts the Millennium Rail Trail that traverses four county towns (Picton, Bloomfield, Wellington and Consecon) that offer food and drink options and access to wineries and craft breweries and water views.
The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail also winds its way through the county in what I think is one of the highlight sections of this trail that covers a large part of Ontario. PEC is only one hour away from my home in Kingston, ON, 2 hours from Toronto and only a few minutes from Belleville, ON. #cyclingPEC #cycling #visitthecounty

We loved this trail ! and we liked how many places you can pull over to grab a quick bite to eat - or drink a glass of wine if you are so inclined!
Enjoyed the ride! Enjoying that you’re including Christine in the rides. We were up in the County this weekend did the Millennium Trail from White Chapel all the way over to the Canal and then the next day I decided to do a wine run so I went from Ameliasburg to the winery just off Swamp College Road. It was a nice 45 click round-trip for a couple bottles of wine.
That is so good to hear Owen. Have you ever done the Cressey Loop on the east side or Point Petre.

This is a fav route in PEC, a few hills to deal with but quiet and Waupoos is pretty with great places to eat and a winery.
