- Can you cruise a narrowboat at night and in the dark? We do just that in this vlog and it doesn’t go smoothly. It is pouring with rain and getting dark, so quick thinking decisions have to be made as to what to do next and where to moor. We thought we made the right choice but we hear in the morning that we have made a mistake. Sit back relax and enjoy. Take care 🦋🌻

Too many people are quick to complain about someone else, even if you had done something wrong it was a genuine mistake, wouldn't it have been nicer if they had explained to you so you could learn. Have these people never made mistakes? Lets show peace love and compassion - Lovely video as always.
I'm not sure that she actually made a mistake. For future reference, if there's a questionable situation, I would be taking pictures beforehand just in case someone tries to be vindictive.

I'm feeling a lot better thanks. Recovery period is longer than I thought but recent tests have shown that my rightkidney is working a lot better than it used to. However, drinking between 3 and 4 litres of water every 24 hours is hard

Oh bless I’m sorry to hear that those people judged you unnecessarily, I do get quite upset myself and find 8m very easily triggered by what I perceive as negative comments or people. My ADHD makes it hard to judge the severity of emotions of others and my own emotional response to situations xx

I've been flipping back between your old videos and new. Your drawings are always beautiful, but I have to say that your sketching has immensely improved in the past three years. Such an inspiration as to what regular practice can do. As I would say to my grandsons, "Good Job!" Firstly, a belated Happy Birthday! Just turned 29, right? 😊 I had to look up banker mark, because I recognized it as a Freemason's mark. Yep, essentially means the same thing. Sandbach is a lovely town, thanks for showing us around! The flashes are so pretty. It's nice that what was once an industrial scar, has transformed into a nature reserve. The earth can recover from the dreadful things people do, encouraging. That hare was gorgeous, immediately made me think of Watership Down, a favorite book. Have a fab weekend! How brilliant to catch sight of a hare! The fastest animal in Britain! We are such clumsy apes compared to these wonders of nature. I feel the same about our lovely kangaroos here in Oz - they can hop up to 45 miles per hour - and the fastest human can only run 5 miles per hour - astonishing! I did a copy of that famous Albrecht Durer painting of a hare recently - it's not easy to pencil in all the rippling lines of fur, and then the fluffy white fur on his chest and under his legs - I had to combine coloured pencils with pastels to get the right effect. You sketched him so beautifully - and you captured that hare's fierce dignity.

Narrow boating is filled with so many variables- if you can get a space to moor, working out if you have enough water and be able to moor by a water point amongst other things. Late night cruising probably adds to any difficulties. ...You are very respectful, so those folk dont know you at all...
More importantly, another beautiful vlog! My other half is very impressed with your capacity for fudge! I'm also not impressed with Zephyrs capacity for treats!

16:35 we have what is known as the Butter Cross in Newport Shropshire, Market Drayton has one too and they were smashed during Cromwell era and the cross part was never restored, just a broken upright. When I was working up in Yorkshire I was staying in Beadale and I noted how similar the market town there was to Newports and they had a similar stone cross which was destroyed. Nasty bunch those puritans 😂xx

Hi Vanessa! I know it’s pointless to talk about it now but I’m so sorry those people upset you and reported you. I don’t know you personally but from watching your videos and getting your heartfelt comments back I can say without a doubt you are very respectful. Zephyr is hilarious with the ball. So glad she loves it and has forgotten the old one. She brings the ball back fast. Her eating the treats was so cute and adorable. They gave her a lot! I love in the UK that they let dogs in a lot of places. I think it’s sweet. I think Sandbach is pronounced SAND BAAAAK. Like the composter Bach. I think that’s how I saw the spelling in your map there. Omg that Hare was so gorgeous. So breathtaking. I could have stared at him or her for hours. Really just beautiful all around.

Neumanns Flashes are quite close to Anderton. Maybe best mooring at Marbury. The Lion Salt Works is pretty close too.
It'll take you a month to explore around there. 😀 You'll hopefully hear the woodpecker and cuckoo close to the canal at Marbury. 😍
Theres a bench on Marbury Lane ( closed to traffic) that someone throws bird food on, and you can see 7 or 8 squirrels feasting on it most mornings. 😁

A special treat was to see and almost smell that wonderful dinner dish, definitely yummy 😋 Although the rain had come down on most of your journey through the canal as evening fell, it had a special lighting effect in the video I could tell...
On wet days and with the sun popping in and out, one can see wild life moving about, so many beautiful species all around. To actually see a hare is not an easy thing, they blend in so well, especially when they are very still. Only a trained eye like yours can pick them out.
I just loved the moment of you making tea before you got comfortable to write and draw, and from the lovely Peter Rabbit book/box came three toffee sweets, and that pause of the fourth finding it's way onto the plate put a huge smile on my face 😊
Why I would have done the same.
My "lone wolf" ritual this evening is to prepare for a nice motorcycle ride to see some wonderful places out on the outskirts of Spain and having some great espresso coffee ☕ stops! I will be going to see "the mountains of Gredos" a beautiful area indeed.
