We tested out the previous version of this pack and used it all the time. It is still being used by our colleague Steve Starks! The NEW version features an even greater adjustability (20-30L) and updated layout.

I've had mine for about a year and love it. works great as an everyday carry and really comes in handy when you travel.

Good review. FWIW. My take on hip belts is that they are useful when you might do a lot of walking and have to slug around a heavy pack all day. The hip belt moves the weight down to the hips which can handle that continuous weight better than the shoulders. Given a heavy laptop and accessories (like my Alienware m16 with charger) this value kicks in sooner than later.

Very true! Good logic. Hip belts are the key for carrying heavier weights.

great review. bag seems nearly perfect for my needs, but wish the rollerboard strap were horizontal (so your water bottle and tripod don't fall out). for one-bagging, it's not needed. price is quite high, but tempted to get this bag and likely ask my tailor to sew a horizontal strap on it for that one nit-pick. i'd like to stuff a puffer or wet rain jacket in an outer pocket or be able to attach shock cord to the outside for that kind of case. oh well. the search for the best bag continues.

Ive had v1 for 4 years, zipper broke week ago and the life time warranty system is amazing. Got it sorted in few days. Only down size is this bag is so heavy. Even when empty. Put a 16inch laptop, charger and some other items, its gets so heavy that after carryng it you will feel it later on your shoulders.

Hey Sean, thanks fof the great review. Been pondering this one for a while. Carry a 13 inch macbook, a single reference book bout 2 inches thick and a mirrorless fuji xs20 with a kit zoom lens. Do you think in between the two main compartments it can accommodate that in 20l form?

I like the set up! I dont think you will have a problem with that set up. I currently have the pack in 20L mode with the 14" macbook, 2 tablets, notebook, Sony ZVE1 with additional lense and 2 more bags of chargers and cables. With enough extra room for food and jacket. Hope that helps!
It is a really useful backpack!

Hey - thank you for the review, but we want to know if this can fit under an airline seat for a carryon personal item

Great CZcams handle! 🙌. Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t fly anymore. I drive everywhere. Wish I could be more help!
