  • Our assembly manuals are loved by many, but we know that some of you prefer assembly videos instead. So we experimented and created a video to help you assemble your Original Prusa MK4 kit! But this video may become outdated over time and may no longer be current. Just remember to always check out our website guide for detailed instructions. Have fun with assembling! 🙂

I like the design. Yes there are a lot of parts, but this makes it quite maintenance friendly.

Far too many screws and unnecessary part count. It could have been simplified. No manual control to remove-push filament by hand with a disengagement lever either, that makes swapping filaments fast a pain. Loading new filament is also a terrible experience because it doesn't retract upon loading so the filament just cooks and chars within the nozzle space.

The only thing, I don’t like (had to maintenance my pre-build Mk4 due to user error), is the cable-slot. Cramping all the cables in there feels unsatisfactory and unreliable. Swapping nozzles fast is unnecessary cumbersome (which in turn led to the user error on my end). Other than that I like the design. I was able to completely disassemble and rebuild it without any instruction.
Btw. I don‘t get the filament load and unload issue of the previous post. You can unlock the feeding mechanism if you want to, but the auto feed and unfeed works like charm….
