We Tried Sparking Zero's Ranked Mode

- Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will have a ranked mode similar to this mode we're playing today in Budokai Tenkaichi, so I wanted to check it out with my friend Rhymestyle!

The game isn't even out yet, did you think they would have access this early? Besides, this is basically what sparking zero is gonna be like, just on a different game.

People seem to freak out that they can't pick fusions or OP forms at the start. However, you can start out in base form, and have the fusion materials on your team.
Also I doubt all new characters will be expensive.

It's been a while since I've seen this collab brings back old times
There's a YT video called "BT3 Beginners Guide" or something like that, that goes over some pretty advanced stuff that you're going to need to know for Sparking Zero (and so you don't get obliterated by Rhyme constantly), but some basic stuff to keep in mind:
-"Unsafe" combos are vanishable by the opponent, so you need to avoid that (most basic example of a safe combo is: mash square until the opponent is out of reach > X to step in > mash square again).
-Use the emergency wave blast (double tap L1) when needed (sparingly), especially during any combo with more than 20 hits (like the one around the 21:00 min mark) since after 20 hits, the health cost is reduced by 50% (2500HP instead of 5k), after you use it, both players will be able to move at around the same time so no one will have advantage
-Try to attack your enemy from behind since it gives you a 20% damage increase
-Use Z counters (circle to vanish/square + forward when an attack lands) when possible
-Raw super/ultimate attacks will miss most of the time, attacks it's like in most fighting games, but worse since it's a 3d space and the opponent has a lot of options on how to evade. Unless of course, it's part of a combo
Still you should watch the video since it goes over some techniques that will very likely apply to DBSZ, especially movement type stuff to get around your opponent.
The game gives you a ton of tools (even though most people will likely use the same handful of combos over and over), that is what makes it so unique and interesting. Granted, it is difficult to learn, but it's a lot of fun and can be very rewarding.
You can even make a video out of it, I think that guy, Globku, did it,a while back.

If it is "scaled" like back then in BT3, with some exceptions(giants, Mr Satan and Videl, classic DB), there isn't a big difference at all
